All qualifiers in Reigon 3 have good teams. Cookeville played hard and have a great chance of advancing in playoffs if they continue the effort they gave against Oakland. Lots of speed and hustle from the Cavs. Good luck to them

Oakland has used ball control to manage their games. The defense will have to stop the run then turnovers wil commence as cookeville starts to throw the ball. Go Patriots!!

Oakland has lot of weapons on offense and speed on both sides of the ball. Coach knows this is an important game and comes in with a 27-1 regular season record at Oakland. Don't see any let down against Cookeville. Go Patriots!!

Gotta have that ball control on offense to wear some teams down. But it's hard to overcome giving up 31.

Possible track meet. Blackman needs to control line of scrimmage with long drives. That will wear Cavs down. Not enough depth for Cookeville.

Too much defense and Siegel starts throwing. Look for some ints on defense for Oakland.

The only poll that matters is the last one.

Shouldn't be close. Too many weapons for Oakland.

No one at Oakland is salty about the Final last year just a bit disappointed. As for Maryville and the games we have played against them. Sometimes you have all your players and sometimes you don't, it has happened to both teams. No need to get into a bunch of hurt player stuff. You either win or lose with what you have in the games you play. Depth can help if key players are hurt. We have beat Maryville with and without Hopkins. Good luck to MJ the rest of the season and may see them in playoffs.

I do hate that MJ is getting a tough go at a great season but do you have to start downing facilities. At Oakland we do have a pretty good setup with indoor practice facility. That's pretty good for high school.

Bottom line is until MJ is challenged they are considered the favorite in their games. Don't see anyone on the schedule keeping from No1 seed.

The schedule for MJ is what it is. At this point they have to stay focused on keeping sharp as they cruise to the playoffs. That's when they will find some competition. Too bad district doesn't have a similar team to get some big game experience.

Patience everybody. Whatever team it is if you continue to advance you will find an opponent that gives you competitive games. I assure you.

The biggest problem I see with that prediction of a Blackman beat down is that Oakland is more of a second half team.

Oakland continues to play defense tough and that will tell us more after Friday. Both have lots of playmakers on offense. But defense will win the game for their team. In big games somebody needs to come up and make a few more plays than they usually do. Go Patriots
