This is a big blow to the Eagles. I never had a chance to be around Dupree. But I feel like he has been a great addition while he’s been here. I wish him nothing but the best. Coach White and Woodard are the type of coaches that makes any program better. Coaches that are there for long term and are great mentors to these young men. I had the privilege to play under these 2 and coach beside them as well. Both had a huge impact on who I am today. Going to be tough to fill their shoes for sure.
Junior loaded team. Just a handful of seniors that we lose. This team gained a lot of experience this year and could be special next year. Only time will tell.
I have all the faith in our QB. Not often does westy have a true QB. He has impressed me the last few games. If we can utilize him to his strengths he’s going to have a good career at Westmoreland.
From what I seen of last nights game with Marion, Watertown is on a different level. I’m gonna say running clock by the end of the 3rd.
Marion 7
Watertown 42
Look at Rhea Co strength of schedule though. I’m not taking away from 9 win season, but I think they have 1 opponent with a winning season and at least 2 that didn’t win a game.
Look at Rhea County’s Strength of Schedule. I’d say any of the 4 playoff teams from region 4 would Compete with them. Not a big surprise of a win there.
I expect this game to come down to who wants it more. Both teams seem to be playing good ball right now and finding ways to win. For the Eagles, I hope this is where all of those tough non region games played pays off. Go Eagles!
The last I heard we would cap around 1500. We did Sell season passes for home games this year and we’ve been giving somewhere around 200 tickets for presale to visitors. They did sell the remainder of the tickets at the gate when Livingston came up week 1. I did not hear of them turning anyone way and there was a decent crowd there. I’m sure trousdale will travel with more fans than Livingston. So if you do decide to come up I’d probably try to get there a little early opposed to right at game time.
That is correct. Here is an article about Westmoreland’s first season in 1931. Very interesting read to say the least....

I played on the 2000 team for Westmoreland that beat TC on the Creek Bank. To my knowledge that may be the last Westmoreland win. The 2 schools did not play in regular season from around 03/04–16/17 or so. During that time frame it was always scrimmages or Jamboree.
We haven’t had a home game since week 1. We were to play a metro school last night at home and it was cancelled since metro is not playing. When we played Livingston they had prepaid tickets and selling at the gate. I’ll try find out this week what everything looks like and let you know.
