You need to put the crack pipe down it is affecting your judgement. I hope you don’t referee while you are smoking. Greenfield will win, but if you have been around for any period of time, you would know that Region games between good teams on neutral courts rarely end in blowouts. I think the margin will be 6-8 max. GC is not flashy but they are fundamentally sound. They won’t hand you the ball 20 plus times like TCA does. Two of the teams that go home Sat could probably beat 2-3 teams that will play at state. Single A ball is down a little this year, but Region 7 is rock solid.

Vandy, I am not overlooking them. I believe they will be playing Huntingdon in the region ch-ship. And if they do, that game will be a dogfight!!! Win or lose it, I think they will be in the Boro!

That is a big "if," though. The games I have seen, if you put pressure on the guards, they give up 20 plus TO's. The key to me will be how the refs call the game. If they call touch fouls on the Greenfield guards in the press, this game will come down to the wire. If they let them play, could be an easy win for Greenfield. Both teams have a ton of young players and this is a huge "loser leave town" match. Should be interesting to see how they react to the pressure....

Although I do think Dresden might sneak by Gleason under the right circumstances.

Don't sleep on TCA either. Not sure if any of the region teams have anyone that can stop #22. The key will be just to slow her down. Greenfield will have their hands full trying to beat them 3 times in a season, especially coming off a loss. It will be interesting to see how they come out Thursday. If TCA pulls off the major upset, they may just take the Region since they play the rest of the way at home. Interesting that Dresden has to travel to Middleton and win to advance. Last year Middleton was upset and eliminated in a crazy substate game in Dresden. Great time of the year with some great matchups in Region 7.

What a great game tonight and incredible atmosphere! I was impressed with Gleason's tenacity. The Region tourney is going to be fun. IMO, I thought Greenfield was a lock for the Boro, but they showed some vulnerability tonight. Have to agree a couple of missed shots, bad calls could send any of the following to state: GC, Gleason, TCA, Dresden, Greenfield or Peabody (if they figure out how to play without Mayberry) In biking terms, Gleason just reeled Greenfield back from their breakaway into the pellaton. Settle in, the next week is going to be FUN!

GC, Did you see the game? That is not the Gibson County team I have seen in the past. They seemed to play really tight. Thy had more turnovers than TCA and I would have figured TCA to have twice as many as GC.

Watched a double header tonight at TCA. Peabody without their best player got beaten by a horrendous Middleton team (and by horrendous, I mean GOSH AWFUL) then an average GC team beats the home team TCA in the other semi. This Region may just be a District 13A sweep! BABA, I was not impressed with any of the teams in this gym tonight! If by any chance one of these four teams make it to the Boro, then whoever draws them got a bye. It was that bad!!!

I have to agree. I saw them play Greenfield and Peabody. 22 is real good but when the guards were pressed they couldn’t get it to her and had upwards of 25 turnovers in both games. BUT they will be at home thru district and regionals so u never know...

agree! with the loss to Peabody GC now has to match up with TCA in the semis on TCA's home court. That will be a tough ask. and If Mayberry doesn't return, the stars are aligning for TCA to win the district on their home court. if I am not mistaken, the region tourney is played there as well. Huge advantage for TCA as they potentially don't leave their friendly confines until the state tournament.

The Region tournament is going to be outstanding! Greenfield, Dresden, Gleason, Gibson County, TCA, and Peabody. All of these teams could get hot and make a run. Good news is that Region 8 is super weak and most likely 2 of these 6 will play in the Boro. Who you got? I will go chalk on Greenfield and go out on a limb and take Peabody as the other.

Just watched the TCA v Peabody game tonight. Thought TCA would avenge their earlier loss to the Lady Pride due to their recent run of wins which included a 30 point route of Middleton at Middleton (VERY HARD TO DO). Was impressed with Peabody. They beat TCA despite their best player (Mayberry) having an average game for her and despite Peabody shooting a miserable FT percentage. They left at least 12-15 points at the line. Very impressed with the Lady Tide! The will be a team to be reconed with!

McKenzie is average at best! Region will be Summertown and Huntingdon as the overwhelming favorites for 1-2, Perry County as 3 and McKenzie as a FAR DISTANT 4th, maybe...

It will be a major upset if Greenfield is not in the Boro. They are the absolute cream of west TN single A ball. They absolutely smoked a talented TCA team on Friday night. That win sold me!

+2 wish I could have seen the two (Huntingdon and Greenfield) go at it. Greenfield looked impressive tonight. Moore and Darby may just be both finalists for Miss Basketball. They are both the Real Deal! GC, I have seen ya'll play on several occasions, and if you can stay away from Greenfield till the finals, you could make it to the Boro as well. IMO, Region 7 will have two teams in the Boro.... Greenfield and ?????

went to the TCA v Greenfield game tonight and watched what I thought would be a competitive game get absolutely dominated by an outstanding Greenfield team. I have seen most all of the single A players in west TN play, and Chloe and Tess are the absolute cream of the crop. Both deserve to be nominated for the award! After watching tonight and seeing Huntingdon play on several occasions, I am kicking myself for missing their games against each other. These two seem to be the favorites to make the Boro IMO from West TN.

Smack dab in the middle! I just love watching HS basketball. I would have to give a slight advantage to CR over Summertown if I had to put a wager down. CR has been just so consistent when I have seen them and very well rounded and well coached. Pickett v Summertown would, IMO, come down to whether Pickett can hit the 3-ball. The post season is going to be a lot of fun. Can't wait to go watch the tournament in the Boro!
