If he's that happy why did he apply at other schools? He was at Cheatham for a while. If he's already applying at different schools he can't be too happy with Stewart. I could be completely wrong. Just my outside opinion. But East needs to get on the ball about hiring someone. Its going to be a rough spring for the kids.

He'll need to work on keeping the athletes from leaving. I hope he can atleast get them a few wins. Got some tough teams in that region. Good luck

Interesting. I've only seen them play a few times the last few years but I remember them having a huge coaching staff. Which got the job and how many Commandos are going with him? Are any of the Cheatham coaches still with the team or were all let go?

I just recently heard that Cody Finley was in the running for the job. Not sure how true it is though. Looks like he wants out of Stewart pretty quickly. East has a nice school. He could probably be successful there.

Doesn't seem like it would take a great coach to win games there. I'd like to see more good teams from Nashville. Too much wasted talent

Yeah I see what you're saying. I watched a few Cheatham and Harpeth games back in the 90's. Against BA and then Pearl Cohn. Cheatham had a few defensive studs back then. Being in the same region with those teams was just plain bad luck. Never really watched sycamore or Harpeth. Just know what I read. So what is the deal with the admin up there? When are they getting a new coach?

Am I missing something?? When has Cheatham ever been an athletic power?? The Cub basketball team has been on a roll lately but they're not a dynasty. As far as football goes the entire county, with the exception to the 2012Cub team, has been average for years. After looking up records they've had 3-17 type runs before. Not that I'm a Cheatham expert. Just my two cents

Judging by that field and stadium I'd say they have plenty of cash to spend. I think the players would enjoy a good competitive game with an out of state team. GC is going to win titles regardless.

I heard Finley was testing the coaching waters. Seems like a guy that could get creekwood rolling. Not sure he's even in the running though.

The Florida state champs haven't been all that impressive against the Washington schools. Great athletes but not as good as a team. I believe Fulton and M'Ville give them all they want if not win the game.

I've spent alot of time out west and In Texas. I was rarely impressed with high school ball there. Tons of money in the programs but overall not the best I've seen. Mid to South Alabama breeds monsters. The size, strength and speed of those teams is insane. The defense they play down there is light years ahead of Cal or Tx. Not saying the best team from Cal couldn't beat teams from Alabama but overall the teams are better down there than anywhere else I've seen. I think if a good disciplined coach brought in his own complete staff and completely changed the culture of some of the Memphis schools they could be dominant. So much talent down there!
