Well, Reaves is back at Middleton and cleared to play. He dressed Friday night against Ashland. Middleton was very tough without him, how good will they be once he's reacclimated. I can't wait till Middleton and Humboldt play...it will be interesting!!!

Reaves is at Rossville...so, it will definitely depend on how well the other guards play.

I don't know anything about M.A.S.E but I did see W.E.B Dubois this summer. They will make some noise for sure...very, very disciplined team. I was very impressed.

A very solid 6'5" swing man that transferred from Bolivar. I believe Middleton would contend without him but now that he's there with Parks and Reaves and 5 or 6 solid role players...well...it'll be interesting.

With Mitchell moving up, how does the A picture look? No doubt Middleton will make a run...especially now that Keelan Jones is on the roster. Who else will be good this year?

My son plays travel ball in Memphis. We have kids from 5 different Memphis schools and they are all very respectful kids. No need to stereotype. We often play in the Binghamton at Lester Middle and we have yet to have a problem inside or outside the gym.

Anybody from the Memphis area know anything about my comment above?

I have heard rumors from Memphians that East is being converted to a charter school next year and won't have a basketball team. Is there any truth to this?

SS and FW are both playing well right now and SS is having their way with everyone but FW. This reminds me a lot of 2010 when Liberty finished the season beating everyone except Bolivar. SS just can't solve the FW riddle

What's the chances of a SS/FW state championship game?

Let me say that Booyah does not represent all of us Middleton fans. I figure Booyah is just ruffling feathers but for his/her sake, I hope Middleton wins. No reason for disrespect on here.

Thanks sportslover for jogging my memory. Who was the other semifinalist the year that Bolivar won it? No doubt Westview is loaded and I expect Bolivar to get spanked tonight. I have a kid that plays for Bolivar boys, and I don't understand what's going on on either side at Bolivar right now. It seems to me that Bolivar kids don't have the hunger tof win anymore. They're content just playing a little basketball a couple times a week. The kids don't work hard in the off season, and they don't practice hard. There's plenty of talent on both sides, just lack of work ethic.

Agreed Realistic...I'm from Bolivar and that's the vibe I get from our girls too. It's a shame knowing these girls won the west sectional 3 year ago, a championship run that included beating that Westview bunch

Maybe so, but they shouldn't have allowed themselves to be in this situation.

SS did it right 2 years ago when Hicks decided to leave Arlington Country Day and come home. SS contacted the TSSAA and asked for a ruling before allowing Hicks to play. I realize that Hicks is what SS needed to get past Haywood and the kid at FW hasn't played much, but the rule applies to all players.

Whether you're deliberately "cheating" or not, a team like FW that went to Murfreesboro last year and has a legit chance to go back has to be more thorough than just reading the by laws and "thinking" everything is OK. And maybe this doesn't hurt them at all but Bolivar is pretty pissed about it. The whole incident is uncalled for.

What would FW be pissed about? They broke the rules, and got caught. They knew better.

That turns out to be great for Lexington and McNairy and not so good for Bolivar.

When does the district tournament start? Anybody seen the schedule?
