The Middleton team with Steve Hamer that beat ER for the title in 92' was pretty good.

I don't remember saying I was on the team. The "we" I used was simply referring to Middleton....though I did play JV in 92.

One thing for sure is that next week, we are gonna find out...I was a sophomore at Middleton when we won the championship in 92. This team is right there with some of the better teams that has come through Middleton. Not saying they can't be beat, Booker T gave them a run for their money. I saw ER last year in the championship and have watched a couple recent games of theirs. ER is definitely the team to beat next week and I wouldn't want Middleton to make the trip and not get to play ER, even if it is in the quarters This could very well be the state championship.

Booker T played 5 kids all night until 11 fouled with a minute or so left...if they had 2 more decent kids to rotate through they'd be really tough.

Right, and Middleton has a 1 pt loss to Fayette Ware, a top 10 AAA rival...no losses to a A or AA

Sacred Heart seems to be pretty good....are they stealing players from the public schools in the jackson area

The Bolivar radio station broadcasts Middleton games occasionally but with Bolivar also playing tonight, they'll have it on. It's probably on NFHS Network but it'll cost you.

If Trenton is that good, how good is Bradford. Scoreboard says Bradford beat Peabody handily. I believe Middleton will have a little something for Peabody.

Middleton is for real this year...don't be be surprised if Middleton makes a run for a state championship in single A...in my opinion, Burkley is the best coach in the state. He always gets 110% from his boys and this year, he has 7 or 8 nice ball players.

Bolivar always seems to play SS better at SS

We don't feel like we have a new coach though....Coach Crisp has been on the staff for years and Coach Beauregard will be on the bench when the middle school isn't playing, from what I understand. So it's really just the absence of Rudesill that's different. Bolivar will be tough to beat this year...I'm very anxious to see what happens Tuesday night.

Will Covington be restricting admission this year...do I need to get tickets in advance or will they be selling at the gate?

Bolivar has named Cameron Crisp head coach

I believe we'll hear announcements late next week on Bolivar coaches. Interviews start Saturday but I believe they're just going through the motions...I believe they have their guys already.

I never thought Rudesil would leave Bolivar to coach at another. I figured he would retire soon and Crisp would take over. But, I was told by a mutual friend that Crisp wasn't ready to take over, as if Crisp felt that way himself. Not really sure exactly what he meant, but with that being said....at this moment, I fully expect Crisp to get the job. I assume the job has been offered to him and he is contemplating. I will tell you that there's a lot of people in Bolivar that will be very disappointed if Crisp isn't the head coach next year. Keep in mind that Bolivar has a good bit of talent returning next year with some young kids that can play. It would be very interesting to see Crisp take over with these kids.

Has anybody heard who is likely to take Rick's place Bolivar? I would assume Cameron Crisp is the front runner with a possibility if Willie Kemp or Demetrius Beauregard.

3rd...played at East, Wooddale and now Houston. I figured he would have went to a prep school but I guess Houston was as good an option this year

Very impressive win for SS...all we need now is SS/ Wooddale...hopefully it'll be on the 21st
