Creek Wood is a physical team. The rain would limit MCs speed and play into CWs hands. Are both Creek Wood's backs health? If they are, I'll take Creek Wood by 10.

I'll take Heritage by 16. Heritage jumps out to a 2-0 record. Start the hunt for that first ever playoff birth.

I'm sure the Heritage AD has plans in store. Steps were taken to get a volunteer coach through the TSSAA mandated training in case such a circumstance arose. Heritage's XC team will be very competitive this year as it has been in the past. The realignment of regions will mean they will have to be on top of their game.

White House Heritage, a small public school in Robertson County, is searching for a Boy's Soccer Coach. There are several openings for teachers in varying certifications. An application can be downloaded from www.robcoschools.org and directed to Alice Thomas, Human Resources Supervisor.

Great pitching from Davidson Academy--Cunningham has been exceptional for a long time. I'd say this game comes down to defense and ability to move runners. I'll take DA knowing nothing about about the opponent. I base prediction on past DA success and good coaching.

Nice job by Beech and Coach Woods and Stanfill for the birth in the regionals. Lots of pressure to continue all the past success with a tough graduation hit. Lots of pop from different spots in the lineup each day.

Those three receivers at Detriot is like the Tampa Bay Devil Rays having 4 great closers. It won't make any difference because well never see them play. Come on Lions, get a QB.

Although the clouds kept rolling in and out, Gallatin was able to host their tournament this weekend. Cold and windy. Semi 1: Gallatin defeated Lavergne Semi 2: FRA defeated Hillwood Finals: Gallatin defeated FRA 2-1 in 8 innings. In the finals, both teams went scoreless through the first 7 innings. Gallatin posted their two runs in the top of the 8th. FRA scored one and had runners at second and third with one out but pitching rose up and struck out the last two batters to win the tourney.

I'm a big Hayes fan. He is a man of integrity and character with the noteable exception of when he loses his tee shot to the left. I cannot think of anyone who I'd rather my children be around and learn from than Coach Hayes whether it's baseball, biology or life. Beech started the year 10-2. Lots to live up to.

White House won 2-1 over Wilson Central in 10 innings. Wilson Central scored in the top of international tie-breaker and White House came back and plated two in the bottom of the inning. Excellent pitching by both teams. Wild district this year.

Hendersonville won 4-1. It was 1-1 going into the 7th and Hendersonville's shortstop hit a three run homer. Good pitchers' duel til the end, both early runs manufactured by sacrifices. This district is very tight. It could be a wild tournament down the road.
