Rockvale is well coached and doing a good job. Schemed themselves into some yardage, just couldn't consistently block Nolensville for entire drives.

Yep, and the last Rockvale TD was as time expired against the JV players. It was really 49-21 varsity on varsity.

I'm going with Pearl/Tullahoma or Milan coming out of the West. Betsy or Greeneville out of the East.

Agreed. I remember this guy from earlier in the season. It's a game. Let the kids have fun and the coaches put the players on the field that give the best chance to win. It's not life or death, it's supposed to be fun. Marshall County has gotten personal fouls galore in multiple games this year against big competition and maybe the kid from Tullahoma wanted to give a little extra back to them. These are kids man, they are playing a game, lighten up. If your child really is on the football team then enjoy these times. You will regret being bitter when you could have just sat back, relaxed, and enjoyed a state championship run.

Hate to hear that. So that means the the 4 seed from region 4 is on to the second round? Looking more likely that the 2nd round is just Region 4 matchups. Can Macon / Livingston represent for their region in Round 1?

Thought I stepped into the twilight zone for a second. I see Dekalb winning vs. the 4-seed from Region 4. Spring Hill could possibly give them a game. Whoever gets Macon out of Region 4 could be pushed, but I like Nolensville or Marshall to move on vs. Macon and/or Livingston. Tullahoma will have running clock on Stone Memorial as soon as the second half starts. I think 1-3 from Region 4 could have won the Region in Region 3. I see the second round being: Dekalb vs. Nolensville/Marshall Tullahoma vs. Nolensville/Marshall

Lawrence/Spring Hill to Quarterfinals? Stone Memorial and Tullahoma is a 50/50 game? Don't ever go to Vegas my friend.

Do teams going up move other teams down?

I 100% agree that, if there are 8 teams, Memphis should all be in one region. For Region 6/7, I personally like it, but I could see them throwing Dickson back in there with Wilco as well.

Seems like it. Region 8 would be like 90 minute trips and the Clarksville region would be over 2.5 hours. - Just noticed that Dyer goes to Clarksville currently. Some long road trips there.

In 5a do you think it would make more sense for Springfield to go to that Clarksville region with region 6 having 8 teams and region 7 only having 5?

This is shaping up to be a potentially strong and competitive region. How do you guys see this one shaping up? Tullahoma looks very strong after the big Marshall win. If Maplewood is out who is the favorite to get the 4 seed? The 1-3 seeds in this region could all be very strong teams. How do you see this region matching up with Region 3? Thoughts?

What's the gap between 1/2 and everybody else this year? Any more than any other year?

Either way, I'm sticking with Maryville unless Oakland can get them in the semis. Cane Ridge playing it close with Marshall County scares me way too much to choose them as anything other than a dark horse right now. I think we end up with Whitehaven/Germantown vs. Maryville in the championship game with Maryville ultimately winning.

He was from 2014 team that lost. 2015 team that won it had 3 kids total go play college ball. RB went to TSU and they had a junior offensive lineman that went to Duke, and their kicker went to kick somewhere. They were far from loaded.

You're right. You're more likely to beat/play with Maryville with a team with a similar makeup as Maryville... really well coached, with good hardworking kids, a la Ravenwood 2014/2015. But those teams don't come around all the time.
