Yes, I was considering it a bye week for yal. Considering the other power teams were facing each other and TCA got a good practice or scrimmage. Peabody went from a predicted #2 team to possibly missing playoffs in 1 game. TCA had the easy week. Now it's your turn to show these old top notch 1a teams what 2a ball is. Region 7 is stacked but I still believe it's top contenders are some originals (A'ville and TCA) UC may have the tops on McKenzie but that would come down to coaching. Again I say there are some serious rebel athletes but the team needs to be coached right

Just keep walking cardinals, hoping to see yal in Semis. Scott's Hill ruined our fun of playing yal last season. Keep your heads straight and hopefully we'll meet again

The private school issue has no deal here. It's the top 2 teams of the region. LC has not lost a game but haven't had an honest competition besides Obion. CA's only loss has been to a challenging 4A Spring Hill. CA seems to give up points (only 1 shutout against summertown) but LC seems to play the first half down to their competitors level. Which will hurt them going into post season. This will be a close game, if LC doesn't have more than 20 by halftime CA wins by 2 scores jmo.

Agreed, #1 LB from Waverly Michael Jackson would be a great choice! He's been the defense for Waverly. #11 Gavin has been having an outstanding season at the same time though on the other side of the ball. Waverly has some studs. But from what I've seen from others (Not knowing stats), Riverside's qb and McKenzie special teams returner had some skills.

Agreed, with the way playoffs went last year, I'm expecting another exciting post season in 2a! LC gained a slight bit more respect from me from this past week but I still believe CA is the region 5 team to beat. My predictions are a 2-2 split between the region's in 1st round and then region 6 taking round 2 with riverside edging out CA by less than a TD

TCA definitely had the best bye week of the season. This will be a good game but I think this game will come down to mentality. If Peabody learned anything after Friday night while the "one legged team" goes in with the slightest bit of over confidence, it could turn out bad for the Lions. But with that said, I believe TCA will come out wanting their part of the surprises. "It's a 2A thing, you wouldn't understand!"

R6 only has Waverly and riverside this year. R5 does have CA, LC, and eagleville. I still say R6 top 2 teams are better than R5. Playoffs will prove either way though. Either way I'm still looking at a Waverly vs Union City Semi at Ray Hampton Stadium.

Don't forget McKenzie. I would dare to say they honestly have some of the most threatening athletes out of the teams we have seen. Another R7 school that should be on top of the boards due to pure skill, just need the coaching imo.

I honestly would imagine the largest crowd of the season in adamsville. I haven't been to a UC game yet but considering they are a top team and in their first year of a new level I'm sure they're traveling...plus you have us guys that wanna see a good game and get a preview of 2 top tier teams.

You are correct trader! Obion County has no chance against this team. Lewis county is undefeated against some quality opponents.

Now you have me confused. "What if every game was without personal demise and there wasn't any turnovers?" The if's don't matter, LC is not what they used to be. R5 is as weak as the rest of 2a when it comes down to comparison with R7. They are the top of their crop but their crop is only good enough for feeding the pigs. And struggling with teams that they should be mercy ruling in the first half shows that.

Agreed. A'ville challenged themselves, and it will pay off, they are definitely a top 10 team especially if there are region 5 teams listed in the top 10. TCA should be above LC into the top 5 though. LC hasn't faced any competition honestly.

Huntingdon would easily be a top 3 2a team, I don't see any reason they shouldn't be the #1 spot. I believe they'd even be a top 10 3a team this year. There's some serious horsepower down there

I honestly was expecting and hoping for the Hill to be strong competitor this year. The Wavo/SH game was one I had marked on the calender to take off for. But it is true everything gets settled on the field, main reason every game is played. But the talk is always fun!

You do realize if LC would of had Waverly in the regular schedule this wouldn't even be a thread. Out of the regions combined I'd have in order Waverly, RS, CA, then LC. Still don't understand how Lewis county struggled so much with a real down Camden team.

No, just Lewis County. I almost thought region 6 was as weak as region 5 but but riverside did manage to pull it out. It's gonna be a tough fight to get to semi finals...do we go for winning by just 35 or go for more?

Waverly has a down defense compared to what they had last season. That's not a lie....but the defense they have is still as good as what most 2a teams have honestly. Losing a lot of senior players makes for a bad side but changes have been made for the good and with the high power offense there too...sorry but LC won't be within 40
