  1. I don't think you can criticize Liberty for doing that. First, they only have like 55-65 (if that) kids that are dressing out on Friday nights. It's also only for 1 season. If JCM was still in existence, I think it would have no effect on the region standings. Back on Flipper, I was never a big Flipper fan in the first place. I believe he was the one that did all of those all-star events for High School seniors just to raise money.
  2. Good post! However, in the last paragraph, do you blame Flipper? It gets the people to come to Milan and spend $5-$7 dollars at that gate and not just sent at home and watch it online.
  3. You're good, just watching the World Series!
  4. MILAN WILL BEAT SOUTH GIBSON!!! That's my prediction!
  5. Sorry! Going to give SGC another TD. Milan 42. South Gibson 21
  6. This is a game of who wants to travel to Bolivar (or Covington if they're still in contention for the 2nd seed) or who wants to travel to Raleigh-Egypt? If you travel to Bolivar and win, you'll play Liberty in the 2nd round. If you travel to Raleigh-Egypt and will, chances are you'll play Dyersburg/8-3A 3rd seed. So it depends. Prediction. Milan 41 South Gibson 14
  7. Who has more? Gleason or Greenfield? I think Greenfield only has like 20.
  8. To be honest, last year DirectTV blocked WMC out of Memphis and added that NBC 39 Station. Now, all I get is WREG, WBBJ, and the other Memphis that isn't comparable to WREG. Can't watch pin point 5 anymore. *SIGH* That NBC 39 telecast doesn't even have a real news team. While the news is going on at 10, the NBC channel is airing: "Celebrity Name Game." It sucks man!

  10. I'm here! I'm here! Disappointed in our loss to Haywood, thought we were the better "team." However, football has 3 different phases and we didn't cover the most important phase, which was special teams. I always believed that Special Teams will either cost you a game, or win you a game, just don't know which game that'll be. Just happened to be our region championship game. Our longsnapper snapped it over the holders head on a FG attempt, Haywood went back and scored a touchdown. In addition, our longsnapper snapped it over the punters head twice and cost us at least 85-100+ yards in field advantage. Didn't give our defense a chance. Didn't give us a chance either to win. Just at as much blame on our head coach as it is on our longsnapper! But I'm back! I'm back! We "should" be Chester. I know all those Trinity guys miss me so so so so so much. Much love!!!
  11. They have that kickoff classic they did this year where Ootelwah and Jackson North Side where the two out-of-town teams to represent. Obviously, both the Owls and Indians lost big time to Riverdale and Oakland. So a Milan and Alcoa could happen, just throwing that out! But I do think Oakland people are in charge of the kickoff classic at MTSU. I think it's a good idea! Hard to think it'll happen though.
  12. Yes, they added 300 students, however, they only added like 3-5 football players from JCM, and all but 1 are non-factors. Not a big difference to me, but I want DHS to see if I'm accurate.
  13. All the schools that you just mentioned are 1A schools.
  14. Just curious, did y'all ever met up behind or near Huntingdon's press box? Thought that was funny!!!
  15. I know you guys have been asked many and many times about this, but I've wondered this too. What's the difference between Scotts Hill now, than Scotts Hill earlier this decade?
  16. Lexington, Hardin County, North Side, Lexington, Liberty, and Dyersburg? Yikes! If this happens, will be the toughest region in the state by far, and I will probably even put as one of the toughest regions in the country. I just mentioned 6 football teams (not including Chester, South Side, Obion Central, Crockett County, and Ripley) that are good quality football teams. So that's 11, therefore every game will be a region game. Chances of this region happening is a 5% chance. Two options. 1. Ripley will be moved to Region 8-4A. 2. Hardin County should head over to Region 6-4A I believe. It will not be fair if Crockett County and Ripley sees these projections and this is what they're getting, they want to move to the Memphis region. Question: Is Dyersburg a solid lock for 4A?
  17. What does this mean for the bigger 4A schools? Would they move up to 5A?
  18. Means Liberty will go to 5A because they are one of the biggest 4A schools?
  19. 4th & 10 at the 50, punter is 15 yards back at the 35 yard line. Punt is high, goes no where, hits a return player at the offensive 47 yard line and recovered by the offense, it is still the returns team ball. 1st & 10 at the offense 47 yard line. Same situation and the ball hits a defensive player at the defensive 45 yard line, it will be the offensive ball 1st & 10 at the defensive 45 yard line. Am I right?
  20. Just saw this, but it's returns team ball. A muffed punt is not a possession.
  21. Why can't Millington just go to 16 and be with Fayette-Ware and Memphis teams? Other than that, I like it. But is Riverside, Scotts Hill, and Adamsville guarantee AA teams? How is this alignment different from football?
