If the cards play out right for MC, this could possibly be third round matchup. I like the chances against region 3 for all region 4 teams to make it out of the first round this year.

It depends what MC team shows up. If the team that showed up against Hartsville comes out, we will be in trouble. However, I think MC will come out ready to play next Friday. We just need to make big plays in every aspect of the game to keep this one close.

When I say big win, I’m meaning for the purpose of region wins. Yes, LA has the worst team probably in its history but every region win is a big win for playoff purposes.

MC is coming off a big region win against LA. This week the Tigers go on the road to old-time rival Portland for a non-region slugfest. Don’t know much about the Panthers this year. Heard they got some really good athletes this go around. Who wins this old-time rivalry matchup? Thoughts?

I don’t see this being for the region championship in my opinion. Even though I’m from MC, I still see MC and the Bees playing for the region title. Just to say Stone got beat by Lenoir when CC handled them pretty well last Friday night which CC is much improved than years past. I could be completely wrong on this take but I see stone possibly taking the the third place spot.

Unfortunately, we are not in the classification to where we can make a state title run; however, I think the underclassman we have and that is coming up has the potential to make a deep run in the playoffs in a couple of years and for years to come. The talent is so deep and the junior high kids are just so much more developed coming up to high school because they run the same stuff as the high school does, so they already have learned most of the system. They are also in the weight room so they know the techniques of each lift as they move up as well.

I definitely think it was a learning step for MC. It will only help us grow in my opinion. Just need to focus on getting that home playoff game and winning our region games. Good luck to you all for the rest of the year!

Region 4-4A matchup at Pat Parker next Friday night. The Tigers need to rebound against the wildcats and pickup a win in region play. Can the wildcats give the Tigers some trouble next week? Thoughts?

MC came out with zero enthusiasm and was flat the whole night. The team that came out last week against DeKalb was a completely different team that came out tonight. With it being a rivalry game, you would think we would come out ready to play. Luckily no injuries came out of this game as far as I know. Far more important game next week against LA. But we are going to have to come out more energetic and ready to play like we have the past three weeks.

It’s gameday on the ridge. It’s going to be a slugfest and it’s going to come down to who wants it more. Hoping for a injury free game for both sides. Looking forward to 7!

This game will be a good one to be at Friday night. MC coming in undefeated and playing at home against the Jackets which the atmosphere will be great! This game could go either way. I’ve enjoyed watching this Tigers team this year so far. They never give up. Most MC teams would have been beat last Friday after DeKalb took the lead to 29-25 late in the fourth.

This was one of the best high school football games I’ve ever watched. Came down to the very end with both teams knowing this game was pivotal. Both teams showed up to play. Cam Houston is a stud and is going to be a force to be reckoned with the rest of the season. Next week, the river rats come to town. It should be another slugfest!

As a fan of MC, I can confirm that Brooks can throw. We just haven’t had to use many of our passing packages

Huge playoff implications on the line. In my opinion, whoever wins this game, will be hosting in the post-season.

I don’t know what film you been watching but MC has a passing threat. Shoulders is smart and hasn’t shown anything. I don’t want to hear whining when Brooks has a huge passing night. Just because we run left, run right, and run middle don’t mean that’s all we can do. Plus we are able for execute in the running game so we don’t have to pass near as much.

Less than 24 hours until the red white and blue rivalry kicks off. All of Lafayette and all of westmoreland will be a ghost town as everyone will be at the stadium. It’s going to be a good one for sure On a side note, how many times has Westy and MC played each other in football?

This team doesn’t compare to the 03’ team. Not putting this MC team down because they are good. And I wouldn’t say that was the biggest win in MC history either lol. It does show that MC can compete with talent like East Rob has and be able to shut them down.

Prayers for the community of Waverly from Macon County. Such a devastating tragedy that happened this weekend. I pray that you all receive the help for the community to be built back up and the football team gets the help they need.

In the Red White and Blue rivalry game, anything can happen. Westy has a pretty decent squad this go around. This game will be close and hoping the Tigers come out on top but the Eagles could very well win as well. The two twins had a good showing last Friday night. Both are starting on defense and Gabe is making a impact on the offensive side of the ball as he had a receiving td and a 75 yard rushing touchdown against East Rob.

Well I don’t think you’ll be seeing them in red in their high school career, Posty.

I’d say a whole lot of hamburgers considering how big the crowd normally is in Motown when MC is there. As long as I have a cheeseburger and a coke, I’ll be set Friday night lol.
