  1. Rooting for the Wave in this one. It would make for a monster game next week (which it will be anyway). Two undefeated teams will make it even more interesting.
  2. Unless something changes, Gallatin is going to embarrass Beech.
  3. Kudos to Henry County. I really thought Beech would run off with it, but rivalry games are different. Your RB ran like a man possessed. Several times I thought he was down at the line and the next thing you know he is right at or past the marker. I honestly hate it for your kicker. Lots of pressure. Plenty of distance. A little wide right. I hope for his sake he can let it go. Good luck the rest of the season. Your fans are what high school football is about. This could very well be the first of two games this year with Beech.
  4. Now that is funny, I don't care who you are.
  5. I would love to hear Tandem's assessment of tonight's scrimmage against Dickson County.
  6. Kinda strange #15 (QB the last 7 games last year) is not getting any snaps. I heard he was 27 for 32 the last 7 on 7. Got 1 series against Brentwood with the JV, had a 25 yard run, and they scored the only TD the varsity or JV had all night on that drive.
  7. The defensive plan and calls were nothing short of amazing this week. To stop Page's passing offense was a big task. Page has a great D, also. They have some very athletic, tough kids and I think they have one kid that could dunk a ball on a 12' goal (showed it against Beech and Hillwood). To have a team in a "rebuilding year" make it to the third round against two very good teams, is quite an accomplishment. Hats off to Crabtree and to all of Beech's staff! Next two years looks very bright!!!
  8. If Beech plays like they have the last couple of weeks, Page 38 - 24. If Beech shows up ready to stop the pass and can keep the turnovers to minus 1 or better. Beech 34-28.
  9. Looks like it may be another cold and wet game.
  10. Henry County is the team to beat this year!
  11. I've read about some teams having to forfeit games due to ineligible players. I'm sure a lot of times the coaches know about what is going on, but what about the times that it would be almost impossible for anyone to tell due to a parent doing something shady? I would hate to know my son missed a chance at the playoffs due to 1 parent breaking the rules. It would be worse if your son was a senior. It seems to me, a coach or parent should get some huge monetary fine if they break the rules instead of costing the whole team. Make everyone sign a contract when they sign up to play detailing when they need to alert a coach on any kind of move they may make. It could detail what would possibly make a player ineligible. It could list a mandatory fine if you break the rule. A 10k or 20k fine (possibly more for coaches) would make some people think about following the rules more. I'm sure there are pros and cons, but shouldn't something be done besides punishing the entire team?
  12. Yea, I guess it goes back up to B (in the Tssaa handbook). But at least Sportsguy gave me hope for a little while. LOL
  13. You just gave me new hope for Beech! It does look like it will come down to the 4th tiebreaker.
  14. If I'm not mistaken: Hillsboro Beats Hunters Lane (which is basically a given) they are #1. Beech has to beat Hillwood and they will be #2. If Beech loses and Gallatin beats Glencliff (should be another given) Gallatin will be #2. If Hunters Lane beats Hillsboro, Glencliff beats Gallatin, and Hillwood beats Beech....that would mean you need to go buy some heaters....because heck just froze over.
  15. I will say after reading this thread, if I wasn't going to the Beech Homecoming, I would love to come see this game. Sounds kinda like what a high school rivalry should be. Good luck to both teams!
  16. Number 11 throws about as pretty a ball as you will see. He hit them 2 long ones in stride as pretty as can be.
