  1. is that a recent photo of cpa field?
  2. This game will be at Lausanne. 7-10 points right there. Denton had one catch, this game he will have more. Gray only ran for 192 yards. This game he will run 220+ and more scores. ECS is a good team and will beat you if you try to simply pound the rock off tackle. Outside speed from Gray as well as the QB when he runs plus the receivers will be unstoppable. I predict 40 for Luzi and 20 for ECS
  3. Article in the Tennessean about the playoffs and too many classifications etc. I found it interesting close to the end of the article talking about the members of the Board of Control and I quote " TSSAA board member's must do what's best for high school football in Tennessee, not what's best for their school." What a novel concept Pink Pony attendees. Quit rigging the rules in your favor as you give you and your schools a bad name.
  4. Lausanne has 3-4 huge lineman and multiple fast players. I think they are unbeatable. ECS looks pretty big too but not as fast. It appears one of CPA's strengths is strategic holding at the line. They don't generally take defensive players down, but they hold on almost every play and it's never called. Of course, the game I saw was at home. Like you say, a tight zebra crew might hold them in check as well.
  5. Massacre man-- that's pretty good. Halloween/chainsaw right? Nope gonna keep it to myself, as I am a bit superstitious. But when it does happen I will definitely enjoy it. Good luck to all- it's been an interesting year and one I will never forget. And with that.... pulling for FRA big time! Although RaiseEm, I really hope u enjoy this game and your son plays lights out. It will be very strange for you not watching him play and my best goes to you and to him as well. Both of you deserve congratulations regardless of the outcome.
  6. I predict there will be one game which 'shocks the world'
  7. Know what ruins everything? The Good Book told us from the beginning-- money. Money to buy players, money to manipulate rules for advantage, money to build bigger and better and money for the TSSAA to make through more playoff games and more championships. Wilson earlier lamented why it's ok for AAA to play semi-professional ball and AA can't--- my reason is simple; I hate to see a sport I love become inundated with power and money just so a few boosters can sit back like fat cats and watch their well laid plans unfold. I hoped it would be contained in AAA and did not want to see it spread further. I was naive.
  8. Nobody said it's wrong but I have said many times I don't like it- I have seen Luzi several times and over the last 3 years they have been loaded and I'm not just talking Juice Gray-now their current 2s and 3s while good are not at the same level as the last 3 years-if Luzi magically comes up with fantastic players next year and after then what I am describing will be happening to not only the kids who have been going there for years but possibly to the kids who just arrived a year or 2 ago
  9. Hadnt thought about the all boys issue but you make a good point Just hate to see AA schools have to imitate AAA for athletics but that ship has sailed- will A follow as well and Im sure some already have just not as visible as Luzi et al like you say interesting times
  10. Yes Boog but how will the grand experiment work long term? Will the kids and especially the parents of those kids continue to support and attend the school if the kids are replaced by recruits in high school? You pay for little junior for 8-9 years and he is ready to hit the field, court, whatever but never sees any PT due to the new 6-10 forward or 4.3 RB-I think it will work for some but not all
  11. Boog is correct and this is exactly why people who are not on the "inside" get upset and rightfully so. Very obvious who the beneficiaries were/are and it stinks to high heaven. Those new buses with scrolling dates of past state championships blinking and sparkling must be an addictive and powerful thing.
  12. Aahh- thanks Boog. was pullin for ya the whole time!
  13. Don't know that I'm pulling for Booger in this one. Although I could be persuaded.
  14. Believe it or not I'm not taking any pleasure in GCA's troubles. Your kids deserve better.
  15. Teams with "Christian" in their name playing dirty more so than any team public or private
  16. Thought long and hard about this one but... Pulling for ND big time!
  17. Beware "I love you" [LK Jr]
  18. That is not the real reason he left. It was probably a factor but not even the main one. Not going to elaborate and I do know and so do the boys. Reap what ye sow-big time
  19. Hold it--- schools came after him last year so wouldn't that mean the new school would have known and said they are ok with him leaving 2 schools in 2 years? so no explanation necessary.
  20. I'm more of a lab than a golden retriever. Y'all bought any new jerseys or helmets or pants or clocks or weights or carpet or couches or loungers or tvs or playstations or speakers or microphones or headsets or pullovers or hoodies or socks or shoulder pads or fences or better turf or sandwich trucks or cleats or shoes or posters or drones or goalposts or water tanks or trailers or ipads or white boards or benches or $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ MUST HAVE MORE THAN CAK!!
  21. Pulling for CAK big time!
  22. Word on the street is double #7 and double again. Don't get lost in Grove Creek Park and look for that Shoney's Big Boy on the front steps. Also plenty of pressure helps things when you're driving through Pleasant Valley.
