Gr Greenback has a very talented and young baseball team that will compete with any team they play (will win a lot of baseball games). Looking forward to see how far this group of young men can go......will definitely be in the mix to play for Region and possible State Title . Good luck to the GB baseball team

Georgia WB Haven't heard that the Falcon flew in after Christmas break....possibly planning summer arrival Basketball (only) transfer from 825 Lawrence Ave.......still a lot of word on the street rumors about football transfers this summer Will see what the summer brings with possible RINGITIS epidemic 😷 😂

Transfer line at Alcoa ???? Will be interesting to see if any of these "word on the street" transfers actually come to early signing period ...... WB, Fulton, MHS rumored to be represented......Georgia transfer has been confirmed.

Looks really good on his Hudl highlights 👠Future 🌪 was selected as Best Defensive Player in the State 8-AA 2016 (he is just a sophomore). Will register Wednesday and be ready to start baseball 😀

There is the problem of giving it to another coach.....I think you go with Derek or you risk losing him to another school. The question is how long does he wait to take a HC position if he is passed over on this one . Because I can tell you that other teams will line up and have him on the top of their wish list as their schools have HC openings. I know he is Maryville deep down and it would take a perfect opportunity to pull him away but why would MHS take that chance of losing him (even if that chance is very slim)

Will be on the diamond this spring........word is he can step in and play baseball and football .... looking forward to meeting this young man. Very nice family, his older brother plays baseball at Maryville College

Hate to bust your bubble 91, too many solid men on that coaching staff. Shouldn't be much turmoil between the assistants....I am sure the ground shook this morning but there are several qualified coaches already on campus at MHS. Give it to the young Captain D. Hunt (The Legend) 4 State Title Rings as a student athlete.....and many more as a coach

Would like to see him get this opportunity. Great young man, knows the offense, and will be on every other schools short list for any openings for a head coach. He will be a Head Coach one day (would want to keep him at MHS).

Looking forward to seeing this player on the diamond and football field. Alcoa baseball will be young, strong freshman class last season and this seasons freshman class is loaded also. Will be some growing pains this year but could really develop into a great couple of years of baseball.

Very much so #66 and #77 .... played with leadership and attitude, several defensive linemen and LB found themselves on their backs ....need to find 3 solid linemen from our freshmen and sophomores #33 ... do not have a bruiser like this young man...#2 and #23 will have to be very physical #30 .... this kid knew how to get to the second level and then turn on the speed with power.....#6 and #25 have the speed, believe they can grow to become special backs with big play ability #34 .... always capable of breaking a big run...another senior Alcoa will miss I believe Alcoa will have some players ready to step in and help this team work towards another great season

Several sophomores that started in 2016 should continue to grow and improve in their positions. A lot of All Region players will be ready to make this defense shine. Alcoa had several REAL good players graduate and they will be hard to replace . But the 2016 sophomores and juniors got a lot of playing time and several were starters. Can not wait to see the 2017 Alcoa Tornadoes.... this team has BIG TIME potential. Should be a fun year.......never know Alcoa may land a couple of big time transfers with ringitis
