Are any of them from Baxter? Upperman & Monterey seem to be benefiting from those big nice new schools! Attracting kids from all over putnam & even Overton counties.

Just curious how many on Monterey team are actually from Monterey? I only know of 2, the coaches sons

They should fear Clarkrange, Clay Co, or Pickett Co. Which ever 2 make it. Jackson Co is way down, taking 30 point losses in district play so don't be too confident with a summer win against them. Clay upset C-range setting up a possible semi final elimination of Crange/Pickett. Still can't count out Clay Co. They are playing well & have weapons.

David, you seem in the know. Whats up with the Modified pitchers stance rule? Vince is the only umpire that called this in our area. (upper Cumberland) . Yet watching the state tourn, almost every pitcher used a modified stance with front foot in front of the rubber.

OK 2 district teams get rained out & never play. They have same win loss record against the other district teams. Will it be based on runs allowed, runs scored, & then coin flip? In that order?

Got smoked by Putnam /overton Co allstars last night. Would be nice for small town single A schools to use their hometown boys instead of transfers!

Saw Pickett Co beat York & one of their parents said they have won 3 in a row. Don't think they won any games last year. They will get the Buffaloes tomorrow & hopefully end the streak.

I think the weak sched is biting Monterey. Everyone loves wins but JC has played better teams therefore better prepared. Monterey has plenty of talent but a cupcake sched

Clarkrange beat Livingston, Monterey droped 4 in a row(including 2 to JC),and Picket has won 2 district games. This is the twilight zone!

No they have pretty much been run ruled against everyone but Oakdale. Yall haven't played anyone yet. JC will be a true test

Monterey seems to be rolling. CR is struggling right now to put a whole game together. Jackson Co can hit & run with the best! Heard Pickett is better? Should be interesting as the season plays out.

Don't think anyone in 7A will overlook the Wildcats. Their pitching depth with the new rule will be a great asset! Most single A teams will lack that depth.

Fulton is a powerhouse in football & basketball but looking at their results in past seasons, they aren't very good. That being said, Monterey has to be the favorites to win 7A. Too many transfers & talent not to be.

Heard Clarkrange had a good showing against LA in a scrimmage. Monterey has alot of talent. Jackson Co always solid. PC has a new coach. Not sure about CC. May be an interesting season.
