Far too many penalties and turnovers in the 10th game of the season. Clock management was pitiful late in the 4th quarter last night.

Wheeler is a very good football coach that will stay with the Cleveland program. WV's non-region games with Bradley, East Hamilton, and Loudon doesn't look "softened up" to me.

Coach Floyd has benefitted tremendously from several years of disarray with the Cleveland and Walker Valley football programs, having kids from those schools to come to Bradley. With the recent good coaching hires at Cleveland and Walker Valley, that well is about to dry up for Bradley.

I laugh out loud every time I read this. Are the Cleveland students a bunch of cupcakes? Will they turn in the McMinn students for bullying? Do they need safe spaces?

Girls basketball is the only thing that McMinn Central has going for them. Girls volleyball just went 0'fer; girls softball went 0'fer. When you consider that the girls basketball team had the best talent from three counties for over 10 years and only won one gold ball, they've really underachieved for the most part.

I think the mighty Bears will easily win by 17-20 points. McMinn hasn't beat anyone with a winning record, with three of their wins over smaller schools that aren't good. Maryville was the first team they played who contested them, and they shut out McMinn's supposedly great offense.

I knew about the Meadows (Ethan?) kid getting hurt. Some think he'll be better than his big brother, but big brother is playing pretty darn good and is just a junior. Both are great kids and come from good stock. Central fans, what can I say? I didn't go to Central but attend most of their games due to family. Central does have some good fans, but many of them are just ignorant and are proud to show it in every sport. I was more disappointed in how Central's coach acted that night disputing a call. Very poor sportsmanship and pitiful example for his players in how he acted. He deserved getting ejected.

Meigs JV could probably beat Polk's varsity this year. I hope the new Polk coach can rebuild the program and get kids wanting to play. He inherited a total trainwreck.

I love the spirit of Meigs County in all their sports, from the little ones through high school. Nothing like small town pride. Meigs does it as well as anyone! I went to the middle school championship game to see a couple of Central Middle kids play that I know. Both are starters, but one of them was dreading the game because as he said, "Meigs hits very hard and they don't quit!" I told him Meigs attitude is what makes them a good football team, and he should do the same. I was shocked how physical Meigs was for a middle school, but was disappointed in Central's players just quitting after they started out playing pretty well. I could see the fear in them before halftime.

I was referring to the McMinn-Bradley game, with the winner locking up 2nd place. Don't worry, you won't be too skeert by halftime Friday night.

I don't think McMinn's defense is that solid after seeing them play twice this year. Cleveland passed for about 150 on them and ran for about 200, most of that in the second half. I know Bradley's offense and especially their passing game is good. I think it will be a close high scoring game, with one of them winning by a td.

Good chance that Meigs and Oneida will meet again.

Looks like it's shaping up to be a big game with the winner locking up a home game in the first round of the playoffs. I talked to two of the Cleveland coaches yesterday and they both said McMinn was a better team than Bradley.

He and several other Central fans only come out of their safe spaces to boast after they beat a 1A team in double overtime.

You brought up some good points. Basically, Greeneville fans got spoiled the last few years and now "some" of their fans think it's their birthright to go undefeated every year. They don't consider the attrition from last years' awesome team, so it's easy to place the blame on the new coaching staff. I'll say it again - losing two games by a total of 5 points on the road to two top-ranked teams is something knowledgeable fans are proud of.
