This year for district 6 is a virtual toss up between Clay, Monterey, Pickett, RBS, & Gordonsville. Monterey went to Clay County Tues night and ran into a buzz saw! Clay County is a force to be reckoned with again this year! The Strong kid is amazing! I'm looking forward to how this year shakes out!!

Congrats to Monterey on their season! Being a fan for 40+ years it sure was glad to see that 10-0! They've played good ball up until the last 2 games and in both games they came out flat, although they played thru and got the wins. I hope coach Hughes has them ready for this match up with Whitwell or this game could be like the last 2.... Go Cats!!

If Gordy plays Copper Basin anywhere close to the way they played Monterey, they will be a hard team to beat! That Washer kid...#6 I believe, is very fast and quick as well. Their line is big and fast on both sides of the ball. Their defense as a whole is fast and runs to the ball. I don't know a thing about Copper Basin other that they have a good record and have played some good teams, but I am going with the boys in blue.... Gordy 28-21

Great game! That's the way it should be for the 2 best teams in the region! Both teams played until the final whistle...great tuneup for the playoffs! Good game Gordy!! Cats 10-0 First time in school history!!

If both teams play to their potential it very well could be the caliber of a playoff game. MHS will make it a more competitive game than in past games down thru the years. I pray protection over all the players from both teams and that both teams play their best! Gooooo Cats!!

I'm from Monterey and surely proud of our boys! I listened to the JoByrns game and Gordy played a great game against them! That Washer kid is a beast! And...up here we all know it ain't never easy at Gordonsville! I look forward to being there on Friday night...should be a slobber knocker...lol, I just pray none gets hurt!

It's amazing that Monterey has done so well this season seeing they have only 5 or 6 seniors and a couple of them don't start. However, they should be pretty good for the next couple of years as they are loaded with freshmen and sophomores that are starting now....

Monterey has clinched region 4, Clay County is #2, Gordonsville #3, JoByrns is #4
