  1. I'm saying he let it happen sir. Pray for your leaders friend. Show some love instead of hate.
  2. Soft, and full of hate. Only thing you hear from them is how bad Trump is, or what hes done wrong, or how bad he is in some shape form of fashion... How about the real Christian's pray for him as he is the leader of your Country. Romans 13:1 ASV Let every soul be in subjection to the higher powers: for there is no power but of God; and the powers that be are ordained of God.
  3. Unfortunately you havent taken your blinders off yet junior.
  4. Can always send 400 million to Iran like the last president. Why not fund terrorism like the last president did. Maybe after they defund the police they can send that money to Iran as well. The Democrat way.
  5. Lol, so you see nothing wrong with Democrats causing strife and chaos as long as they can blame Trump or anyone but themselves?
  6. Mostly Democratic run areas trying to defund police.... we all know they will try and blame Trump though for the outcome. It's just their way.
  7. BBC News article today. Chicago saw its deadliest day in at least 60 years last month, with 18 killings within a 24-hour period on 31 May. The violence occurred as protests over George Floyd's death in Minneapolis also spurred rioting and looting in the Windy City. Over the last weekend in May - a three day holiday - 85 people were shot and 24 killed, according to the University of Chicago Crime Lab. Most of the victims were black. The dead and injured include students, parents and middle-aged workers, according to the data published in the Chicago Sun-Times. "We've never seen anything like it, at all," senior research director Max Kapustin told the newspaper, noting that the Crime Lab's data only goes back as far as 1961. "I don't even know how to put it into context," he said. "It's beyond anything that we've ever seen before." Mr Kapustin added that protests over Mr Floyd's 25 May death in police custody may have distracted Chicago Police Department (CPD) resources from normal patrol duties. "When CPD has to turn its attention elsewhere and there's suddenly this vacuum that opens up, you also unfortunately see a picture like you saw with [last] weekend where you see an absurd amount of carnage, people getting injured and killed," he said. The second deadliest day in the city's history was 4 August 1991, when 13 people were killed, according to the data. Now how bad they think this is gonna be with a defunded organization. I mean alot of times you get what you pay for. Not sure why anyone in their right mind would want to be an officer in a big city now.
  8. Local guidelines would seem to indicate you do whatever the school districts instruct you to do. If the TSSAA was the sole proprietor of the final say, that would make them wholly responsible for any fallout of a school starting practice on time or late etc and then responsible if some kind of flare up of the virus if it was to occur. I would honestly have to guess that parents will or should sign waivers saying they wont sue if some kind of outbreak occurs. Otherwise they could probably sue whoever raised guidelines. That's just me guessing and thinking out loud here on how to try and protect myself as a school. Just food for thought. Just remember were talking about a society that will sue if you dont make them a cake even if it goes against your beliefs.
  9. Probably matters on who is setting the rules to begin with. Not sure if TSSAA has anything to do with when schools will ease restrictions. As long as schools follow guidelines for practice dates, pad dates, etc. The TSSAA's own rules for practices etc.
  10. We as well could have a roller coaster of a year. Pretty hard schedule again for us this season.
  11. Thanks, as good a guess as any really. Seems like mandatory restrictions have been eased alot, but some schools are gonna ease restrictions faster than others. Wonder if in the long run if it will make any difference on quality of practices.
  12. Pretty good timing for a program to be able to gather that many.
  13. Who cleared you? I'm curious who has to authorize that and is it city based? County based? Etc etc? Just curious who is in charge of those type things.
  14. YouTube live or Facebook live would work, but I'd personally dislike to see my team played on the tube if I didnt have too. Alot of people just wouldn't watch if they weren't die hard fans or have a kid that plays. I think if that's the route any school system goes they will watch it fail financially. That burden would prove to be too costly in the end. Refs have to be paid still. TSSAA would still require a % wether a team had fans or not. Keeping a program going isnt cheap.
  15. Lol. Look forward to seeing you there if we can both make it. My work is pretty close to your school for the most part.
  16. It would surprise me if it wasnt Pirates and Cherokees in the semis again. Unless another Whitwell type team shows up. Who else from the East may pose a threat to either of ya?
  17. Let you know after game 2. Hopefully after game 2 you can tell me how good we were.
  18. Doesnt sound like you man, someone hack your account? Just messin with ya. Hows the rackets gonna be this year?
  19. I'll participate I guess. May have some good highlights of the protests on Fridays.
  20. That looks like the Mueller report...
  21. I figured as much. Hopefully It be smooth sailing from here on out with covid restrictions being lifted with ease.
  22. I'm not sure how it will work out. It's not a given that Meigs will win region this year albeit I think we have a really good shot. Oneida nearly always and Rockwood most of the time field some good teams. I would probably give us a nod though since we have both of them at home. But it's definitely not a given considering we graduated some great talent. We will see what we reload with.
  23. I could tell pretty much how good Meigs was gonna be after first scrimmage last year. This is what I said after our scrimmage against Loudon last year. Posted August 3, 2019 I'm not sure what the final score was, but if someone called it 7-4 Loudon I wouldn't dispute it. Meigs had flashes of greatness running the ball and our run defense looked really good. Our passing offense looked suspect somewhat. We had 2 interceptions, one of which was a pick 6. We just aren't hitting on all cylinders yet which is evident from preseason and some inexperience on the field. Final analysis for Meigs after scrimmage 01 this team could easily be better than last years team with some reps. We field some great talent just missed a few assignments from what I saw is what hindered us from doing well on all fronts be it blocking, running routes or coverage. all of which that can be adjusted. We seem to field better athletes than last year. Our defense was getting to the ball quick on a run play which was nice to see I could see our run defense this year being easily better than last years defense. I dont see alot of teams running up alot of yards against us. Our pass defense was a little suspect. Loudon managed most of their positive plays on passing plays against us on the starters. Something that will have to be adjusted before we can be a top team again. We have the athletes to do it easily, we just didnt get it done this scrimmage. Offensively our run game looked really good for the most part we were getting decent gains every play unless someone missed an assignment and was hit in the backfield. Our qb wasnt allowed to run the ball so saying we were handled is really questionable considering we had a handicap. Not taking anything away from Loudon they were a much better Loudon team then the one we scrimmaged last year. I could easily see them battling Red Bank for first spot this year barring injuries. Thank you, good day! Edited August 3, 2019 by Imthayeti ---------------------------------------------------------------- I can normally gauge a team pretty good after a scrimmage. Loudon played and beat Redbank twice last year and won region. Loudon was eventually put out by soon to be Champion Alcoa. Meigs ended up with 3000 yards shared rushing.
  24. Would be hard to get away with it nowadays. Too many readily available cameras with phones etc.
