  1. The Bulldogs’ backups and Jv get plenty of reps early in this one, and will lock up home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
  2. I very well could be wrong, I have been many times before lol
  3. This game last year started the run through the last of the regular season and playoff run ending in Cookeville. The Jackets turned a corner here last year and will need to do the same again this year after two previous lack luster weeks on the field. Jackets “should” win going away......
  4. Lexington in an upset. Nothing against Hardin county they’re a great team.......just a gut feeling. Lexington’s ground and pound, home field advantage, and stiff defense will be enough to pull off the upset.
  5. Yes they did, Crenshaw just needs a little more practice with the timing of his throws. He overthrew a couple wide open receivers down the field, but he’s got a cannon for a right arm. He’ll be just fine down the road.
  6. I knew a couple starters would be out but I counted at least 5 maybe 6 on offense that didn’t play, including our 2 biggest play makers and starting RB, plus the starting punter.....think fumbled punt snap on first series. Just a weird game all around, missing players and crowd was DEAD the whole game. Proud of all the backups and Jv players that stepped up and brought home the win last night. Hopefully the experiences gained will serve us well going forward.
  7. Not much faith lol! The rain could be a huge factor Friday night, timing will be key
  8. Good deal, sounds like y’all got all the pieces in place to make another deep playoff run. Quality coaches make all the difference for sure.
  9. What kind of offense are y’all running now with the coaching changes the past couple seasons? Just curious.
  10. Hard to tell, they haven’t scored any points in their last two games. I’m sure they’ll still be “fishing” Friday night trying to figure out their best combo on offense.
  11. Looks about right except for the Greenbrier game.....they should win by more. Cheatham co is not good at all this year. Should be a running clock by the half
  12. I was impressed with #34 when WH played Springfield. That kids got the size speed and look of a D1 running back. If he and #9 had a little better line play, they both could 1,000+ yard rushers. Coin toss game again between the cross town rivals. I do think WH has just a tick better run game with both 9 and 34, but the defense for both teams are about equal. Should be a great matchup.
  13. I’m going with Creek Wood in this one. I feel like it’s a coin toss game that could go either way. Both teams have a good running attack with CW having #2 back from a very good running team last year and WHH having the big physical back they have. So to me it all comes down to defense, which I think CW has better front 6-7 and really schemes well for the run. I hope fellow county school WHH wins, but that’s my honest answer from the realist side of me.
  14. Probably because said interviewees are still in the jobs they had when they interviewed for the WH job. Employers generally don’t like it when people want to leave....
  15. If y’all keep up that intensity it’ll be hard for anyone to beat y’all. Defense was lights out last night for you guys.
  16. Hats off to Marshall County tonight. The better team that wanted it more won and it showed.
  17. Looks like they got the same officiating crew from the Powell Central game last week....
  18. I’m not going to predict a score but rather give a spread. Yellow Jackets +6.....this game to me could go either way just because it’s hard to gage Springfield right now because of subpar opponents. In no way would I let the big time blow out for Marshall county against Tullahoma effect what you think about them. They’re a good, well coached ball team that will put points on the board. Going to be a great game tonight
  19. 93? Classic coach Thomas ground and pound offense.....and yes lots of talent on that field, and the solid Vegas gold uniforms
  20. Agreed 100%. Last year #5 was more run first instead of waiting on the play to develop and he was very good at that, but that made him almost carry the team more than he had too. This year, with the experience and work put in, he’s making the right reads and is passing the ball extremely well. Couple that with different play makers that can catch the ball, looks like a totally different QB. He looks more confident and calm under pressure this year for sure.
  21. I will say Springfield is miles ahead on both sides of the ball right now from when we played Marshall county last year. The offense has more play makers than I can remember a Springfield team having since the 90’s. The defense has more quality depth than they’ve had in a while also. Now will that equate to a win on the road against a tough and well coached team? I hope so. This will be the Jackets toughest game all regular season, without a doubt.
  22. This will be the toughest regular season game for the Jackets this year.
