Coach Taylor had some winning teams at BHS. Went to semi finals and lost to eventual state champion Smyrna in a close game. Coach Taylor had a winning record at BHS. Coach Young had some winning teams at BHS. Coach Smelcher had some winning at BHS. If Coach Jones has a better winning record and goes farther in the playoffs then l guess he will be considered the better coach? Well others will have to be the judge of that. I don't really know the man.

Baseball players and track not participating in football has also not helped. One thing not mentioned is the head coaching turn over at KHS. Before Coach Taylor has there been a coach Head coach with a winning record come to KHS or one with a winning record stay at KHS. I think Head Coach continuity and coaching staff continuity has been a big problem. Also KHS has no real Football Facility like you see at BHS, FHS, PHS, CHS, WHS, GHS, HHS, Webb, Catholic, CAK, GCA, and l could go on and on. KHS weight room is a cage over the basketball court and the locker room is the same as when the school was built plus a few small up grades to it. How dedicated to winning football is the KHS administration. How often has KHS changed administration? Anyone with any big time funds to finance an upgrade to facilities like a field house with new locker room, weight room, training room, team room for film and meetings. I could go on and on. Bottom line how important is football to KHS to keep their players there and attract other players like other schools around them have. There are some dedicated people in the KHS community the attended KHS that played football and some from outside KHS that have worked real hard to build up the feeder football teams especially the MAC teams. But what guarantees those players will stay at KHS.

If TSSAA is looking into BHS potential football violations they could make a ruling anytime they want to if they have evidence of a rules violation. Remember l said potential rules violation. I know nothing specific. I do know of many Bearden parents are not pleased with how Coach Jones is running the program. Are they trying to change the way Coach Jones runs the program or are they trying to change everything about the way the program is run. Those decisions are up to the administration and parents if the parents have enough influence on the administration. And l mean all the way to the top of the administration. Central Office and the Knox County Schools Athletic Director. You have to remember it was some BHS parents/boosters and their influence that got BHS to where it is right now. And BHS parents/boosters have pressured school level and central office level administration to make make changes for BHS athletics in the past.

That was the year they had a counterfit money situation on the MHS team. They were either making counterfit money or passing counterfit bills around of both. Hard to find much info in the archives about this. But slaps on hands were handed out and all was well on the way to an undefeated run to a state title after suspensions were handed out that led to a 0-4 start. I think before Knoxville West beat MHS last year Knoxville Halls was the last Knoxville team to beat MHS in the regular season. Maybe Maryville needs another miracle like the one in 2000.

Are you sure he is full time coaching them on the field at BHS. I heard him live on the radio right during football practice time period and others have seen him at other schools drumming up business for his training facility during practice practice time period which l assume is right after school. Or maybe he is having practice at his training facility.
