I'll have to disagree with you. I saw LC twice last season. First game multiple players were gassed before halftime, busting assignments and being disrespectful to the coaches. The second time multiple players were gassed midway through the 3rd and still busting assignments.

The UC vs LC matchup should be interesting this year. UC is down. Low numbers, as well as size and talent issues. LC will have the advantage when it comes to size and speed. LC's Achilles heel is discipline and conditioning, not an issue with UC. I would say the coaching advantage goes UC's way in a big way. The game is in LC, so it may come down to how much blood those mosquitosauruses can get out of the UC players pregame.

Lausanne is a top notch program. Some D1 players have come out of there recently. As far as I can tell, they will continue they're current course. As for the Union City issue, I have heard that UC wanted to move the game to later in the season but Mayfield wouldn't budge. UC has replaced them with Lake County, who have shown great improvement by making to the quarter finalsthe last two seasons.

I've been around this game for 38 years. I would choose this offense over any other playing in the 1A, 2A and 3A ranks. This same offense (different personnel) won the 2A State Championship just last season. Your name states you're an expert. I'm doubting that.

21st century, amusing. In an era when everyone is running their version of spread offenses Union City does what everyone else isn't. I think old school football is working for them when you consider that in the last 10 seasons they are 104-31, 4 State Championships (3 in 1A and 1 in 2A), and throw in a 38 game win streek. Seems the 20th century is working just fine for them.

Traveled to Tiptonville hoping to see a good ballgame. Obviously the Falcons don't take football seriously any more.

Union City has NO line this year. Mayfield will score at will. I hope their freshmen are paying attention in practice. They'll get lots of playing time.

You won't hear much from Union City fans. They're looking at a probable 4-6 season, no playoffs.
