I just want the OC to get in his bag and really out scheme a quality opposing DC.
BHS I dont think he has a bag to get in.

Yeah, but I don't believe that WH is a team that you want to face if you ar trying to 'bounce back'.
Yeah I dont think so either. I meant more mentally. They may come out mentally defeated before the first snap or the may have razor sharp focus.

Cordova has the better offense? Only scored 7 against Bartlett!
I agree. I said better, not light years better. Ive seen harder offenses to scheme against in middle school than what WH does.
-
I think this should be a really good game. I think Cordova has the better of the two offenses, and Whitehaven the better of the two defenses. It will be interesting to see how the pack bounces back from a loss to Bartlett.

Look, we all know players play a major role in a winning program. But in high school, coaching makes a big difference. Putting people in the right spot, discipline, culture getting kids to buy in and understand... those last two years at Germantown, the kids and coaches were all on the same page after four years together and had not only won together but lost together and that is the winning ingredient. Not as easy to achieve as some think. The us against the world mentality was a big part in that program winning.
I agree and dont doubt that at all.

Lol c'monnnn mannnnn.

Oh, that's good to know. The players are entirely responsible for winning. You are right about having the Jimmys and Joes, I'll give you that. That being the case, I guess I need to change my pick to a Germantown win since they are loaded with all these move ins.
I mean...you cant seriously say it had nothing to do with it. Im not saying coaching didnt play a role in it.

No assistants left last two years after they cleaned out lazy losers like the basketball guy that went 0-32 lol and the lazy ones who liked to talk and didn’t want to work. And when they did leave three assistants went too. Didn’t much like working for a $1000 year stipend I’m sure. They started winning after those losers left for a reason. And if things are so great now why reach out for help? As for Whitehaven they recruit so they should never loseblackhaven.
They did start winning after those guys left so maybe you have a point. I guess getting the kids from PCA didnt have anything to do with that incredible turnaround. Must be coincidence.

They knew about the pay going in. If they didn't then that's their fault.
God forbid a high school coach have to actually teach at the high school. A few PE classes, a few weight lifting classes and a planning. What else do you want? The state is paying a full teacher salary for a teacher. Not a coach.
Two years of almost complete staff turnover because people couldn't get along.
What didn't admin give them?
Etc...? What's here?
If a coach is dependent on having everything else that the other coaches have to be successful it's gonna be a long career.
It was more than two years of staff turnover. It was every year. Those assistants that left were not leaving due to admin or pay either.

They'd be 3-0 right now if the old coaching staff was still there. No way with the talent left they lose those games. As far as the schedule, no one else would play them - i.e. Houston, Southhaven and Collierville ended the series after last year, Arlington and Bartlett all refused to play over last two years. Had to schedule whoever would play them - kind of same boat Whitehaven stays in. But it did kind of work out that the schedule is pretty rough. Ironically, they could catch Houston in the first round of the playoffs.
I dont necessarily disagree with you on that. Cordova did everything they could to give that game away. Desoto Central has never really just wow'd me. As far as scheduling goes I know that its tough. Just seeing if that narrative was out there anywhere.(Smith loading the schedule up knowing he was leaving)

I think the old Gtown coach saw what he had and said time to move on.
And quite possibly loaded that schedule on purpose. He did not get along with admin very well over there.

I meant what I said... IF G-Town loses by 3 TDs this coach lost this team.
Ok.

No...
Well what did you mean?

If G-Town wins or loses a competitive game, I agree but IF/WHEN they get beat by 3 TDs he's lost them I tell ya.
So if a team loses by three scores the coach has lost them? Im confused.

G-Town has a talented RB but for some reason I believe the new coach may have lost his boys after that heartbreaking L to Cordova... We shall see.
Not sure that he lost them, I think people just keep comparing them to last years team and forget that its a new year, a new coach, and new kids and its not last years team.

Not sure how in the world Germantown is still ranked. This game will more than likely be over by half.
