  1. Most definitely. She is the x factor for that team. With her they should get back to the state tournament but without her they could have problems.
  2. The school is rough not the area lol. North Side's campus is on the north side of the interstate, and the south and east side of Jackson is the rough part. Very quiet neighborhood that is right beside the campus. You will be fine.
  3. ok... well if it was implied that you were talking to me and bulldawg. Next time quote him or something.
  4. Well with 55 pages on here I guess you can talk about whatever you want to. I know he is a CA fan and he is the only one I have seen on here so far. I just wanted to tell him that I was excited to play them in basketball. Chill out.
  5. I think it will be more competitive this year. I think we can all agree that Huntingdon is a unknown coming into this year. Yes they lose their stars from last year, but you have Alli jones, reed and Swenson returning. I know McKenzie scheduled up in non district play adding Greenfield and Dresden. Clarksburg doesn't lose very much off of last years team as well. On what croppy said, Reed has the potential to be player of the year. She has the skills and is a match up problem for teams. I noticed a couple of things with her last year. 1. is that she is very foul prone and 2. she is very turnover prone. If she can work on those things she will be hard to stop.
  6. Yes I graduated from McKenzie last year and I played basketball from when I was 4 till the end of my freshmen year. I remember y 'all playing in the state tournament last year. I just looked at the schedule and we play y 'all on the 18th of January. McKenzie is very supportive of its sport teams and has a knowledge and loud fan base. Should be a great atmosphere!!
  7. McKenzie High. We didn't lose a single player off of last years team that won district and lost to Collinwood in first round of region. Our girls team's is much improved and should be a sleeper in west tn. Should be a good 2 games.
  8. This is off topic but excited to play yall in basketball this year. I have heard that your boys team is really good. Don't know anything about the girls.
  9. McKenzie fans (not the administration) will gladly let you take Wade Comer from us.
  10. Yes our district does get a bad wrap. Clarksburg has played better out of district the past couple of years. It hurt when Peterson transferred to Dresden last year. They have some key pieces returning this year so they should be better. Huntingdon will be a solid team come postseason time and wont go down without a fight. I think they will struggle at times because they do lose their point guard and their top rebounder. I just think that this is McKenzie's year to win the district. They have their best player back, best defender, and get a starter back from an acl. Depending on how effective Kaci Fuller is on both ends of the floor, determines how far this team will go.
  11. Henry County 35 to 14. I posted the schedule for the McKenzie play day in the girls basketball section. Henry county plays in it so check it out and comment.
  12. Here is the schedule for the day: 10am: Creekwood vs. McKenzie 10:55am: Creekwood jv vs. Henry County jv 11:50am: Creekwood vs. Henry County 12:45pm: McKenzie jv vs. Henry county jv 1:40pm McKenzie vs. Henry County All games will be played at McKenzie High School.
  13. Yea she is our best player. Sometimes she is too aggressive but the coaching has talked to her about that during the off season.
  14. Part of me wants UC to match up with Peabody (if they beat TCA), but I would like to see how Fairley would play against the tide. It would be interesting to see how Fairley would play against the best team in region 7-2A.
  15. Ok thanks. Yea since hasn't been in a close game, then that could be in UC's advantage.
  16. Greenfield running back ran a 4.3 in a 40 at a camp in the summer. They also have a couple of other guys that hurt you in the run game. Their best win of the year is 27 to 15 over West Carroll. Their passing game is on and off but they mainly rely on the run game. The thing that concerns me is that Greenfield only beat South Fulton by a point in week 3 while Freedom Prep beat South Fulton by 53! But greenfield is playing much better ball than they were to start the year. Freedom Prep's best game is a 1 point loss is to 4A Ripley (who plays Friday). So lots of unknowns in this game.
  17. Hope this is a better game than the first meeting. West Carroll has had a great year, and they surprised everyone in Carroll County.
  18. UC fumbled once or maybe twice from what I can remember... We have always played UC well (hence our 56-54 shootout last year). We figured them out early on and our defense played its best game of the year. Fairley is not a typical Memphis team, they have a good coach and good athletes. I saw some of yall talking about them getting blown out during the regular season. They played two 6A teams in Whitehaven and Memphis Central. Whitehaven lost to Lausanne by 3 and Memphis Central's best win is Cordova. Fairley is battle tested, don't overlook this team. I wouldn't be surprised if they beat UC.
  19. Boy this thread is on fire!!! I don't have a dog, pig, goat or a cat in this race, but when Waverly played McKenzie I said to myself this is the team to beat in 2A. Multiple weapons and a stout defense. I don't think the CA and Waverly game will be a blowout by any means. Waverly wins by a touchdown or two.
  20. I was told today that k. Fuller from Huntingdon may come back in January or not at all this year?
  21. I know yall played at Gleason last year for their play day and I enjoyed watching those games. McKenzie will take some losses early to some very good teams, but they will be ready come district time.
  22. Hey neighbors from Paris!! Since McKenzie ain't in the playoffs (sigh), We wish Y'all good luck in the playoffs. I think the final in this game is Henry county 49 Munford 14.
