  1. Well I guess that game will be a showdown again this year.
  2. Huntingdon is a very balanced team and better than the team that got beat by conersville last year. come watch them and you will see.
  3. she was given a yellow card twice and continued to play. The game was so rough that they couldn't keep track of who got what.
  4. Huntingdon will be down this year. The fuller girl will not play at all this year due to an acl tear suffered during the summer. They only have two players that played significant minutes last year. McKenzie should take the top spot in the district.
  5. Hey does anyone know anything about Merrol Hyde? We play them Wednesday in the state tournament. This is McKenzie's second trip to state so we don't know much about teams across the state.
  6. Mckenzie lost the game fair and square. The conflict was that the player made up the story about the official calling her the N word because she had two yellow cards and was about to get a third one. she made up the story to get out of the not playing on Saturday against Memphis Business Academy. Westview has a horrible fan base, they were calling McKenzie players the B word and other things. Also a westview coach pushed an official during the game. Westview is by far the roughest and dirtiest team I have seen in quite a while. Get ready for them in the state tournament.
  7. Peabody is the favorite right now because they are playing the best ball. I think a sleeper team might be Riverside. They are having a lil bit of a better year than last year and could be a sleeper come playoff time. Waverly is also playing well too. There are many great teams in 2A so in my eyes it is a toss up, but if I had to pick a winner it would be Peabody.
  8. Gibson county got lucky against Peabody. A couple of calls didn't go the right way for the tide and mental mistakes killed them as well. This game will be close. I do believe that my rebels are playing better and that our defense finally showed up against Union city. Our quarterback is gaining more experience snap after snap. The stands will be packed on both sides for this do or die game. Go Rebels!
  9. I have seen Huntingdon twice against McKenzie and Waverly. They dominated both games. It is hard to say this but Huntingdon could whoop up on some top 10 2A teams. I mean they put 63 points on the board against Waverly. I will say that they will win the 1A title. 2A is a different story tho. There are many teams that could challenge for the title. Teams like Tyner to Peabody to Fairley to Waverly can compete for 2A. I think 2A is deeper than 1A because there is a huge drop off when you go from Lake county to West Carroll. It is rumored that Huntingdon will move up to 2a because their enrollment is up this year
  10. We lost a lot of key pieces from last year. Our line is very young and I think we will lose 2 to 3 of them after this year. We have some key pieces that if we can put them in the right places we can be dangerous. Our biggest problem is staying healthy and playing consistently. We will hang with Union City like we did with Huntingdon and then run out of gas. I do agree that will beat GC. Peabody just had a off night with too many mental mistakes when they played GC. Gibson County just got lucky that night
  11. point guard King and shooting guard Hill
  12. McKenzie's point guard is getting some offers from small division 1 schools. Our post who is 6'8 is definitely a threat beyond the arc but is not accurate all the time. We are playing a better schedule than last year so that will help in the postseason.
  13. yea I do. TCA better be ready Friday when they play the tide.
  14. Even though I am a McKenzie Rebel. I have a lot of respect for WC. This the best team that they have had in about 4 to 5 years. I will be at the game Friday shouting for the eagles. This game and the TCA GC game will be the best in West Tennessee Friday.
  15. During the union city Peabody game, UC lost both their quarterback and running back so cant compare that.
  16. True dat. TCA has Gibson County, Peabody, and Lake county. They could potentially finish 4-6 to end the regular season.
  17. I forgot about UC. They played well last year as well. Gleason has a couple of players that can make some noise. Alexis Anderson was a shock to everyone as she was Gleason's best player at times last year. K. Atkins can create her shot and is a great three point shooter. Gleason lost their best defensive, best rebounder, and their mvp last season. I think the district goes like this: 1. Greenfield 2.Dresden 3.Gleason 4.Union City
  18. McKenzie lost a large senior class from last year. we lost our quarterback but his replacement is doing just fine. The region will come down UC and yall. You never know what TCA team will show up and that's why I am counting them out.
  19. In the west watch out for your normal teams such Humboldt and Middleton. Peabody might overtake Humboldt for the top spot in the region as they return much of their firepower from last year. McKenzie is a team that has not been mentioned. They return every player off last years squad, and have a couple of Division 1 players. A challenging schedule against AA teams should have them post season ready. Haywood and South Side should take the top spots in AA, but look out for Crockett county.
  20. In the west: Huntingdon still has some pieces from last years team. They bring fuller a ball hander, jones hard nose defender and probably their best player this year. they do have a junior in Reed that is very athletic and can finish around the rim. McKenzie brings back a large majority of their talent. This team played well to end the year against some big time opponents. They return 3 starters and a player off an acl. Don't be surprised if they challenge Huntingdon for the top spot in 11A. greenfield should be the team to beat as they return 2 Division one players. Eddie Darby played well for an 8th grader so a bigger role for her will be in store this year. The thing that will hurt the Jackets will be their depth. Defense will not be a problem as moore and darby are graet in this area as well. Dresden only graduates one player off of last years team so expect them to challenge Greenfield for the top spot in the region. The big question for them will be who will replace Mary Grace Davis. In 14A expect Gibson county to be the top team as they reurn key pieces from last years squad, that narrowly lost to Greenfield. Peabody played without Stacie Mayberry to end the year but 4 starters return for the Golden Tide. Peabody always plays hard and up tempo but depth issues might hurt them. Peabody hurt GC in their games against the Tide last year by using their quickness.
  21. Peabody will beat McKenzie by 3 to 4 touchdowns. McKenzies defense against the run has always needed work. This will be a revenge as well. I expect Peabody to finish 3-0 to end the year.
