How far and long is that drive from Fayetteville to Hohenwald?

I think we got better between week one and two but right now, I don’t think we are where we can be. Though good, the first two outings were not against what we have lined up coming down the track! it just seems, for us, and I’m glad too, but the region is relatively weak this year.

An East Hickman team that has been in existence for about a decade and a half with only two winning seasons rolls into Hohenwald. Will the Panthers bounce back from their beatdown from a 1A school for a region win or is this truly a “down” year and East Hickman comes away with a W building their third winning season? The Lewis County fans have been quiet as of late. Will they engage on CoachT this week?

When GC won the state all those years ago, they did so in 4A I believe. Since everyone knows 3A runs through Alcoa and Covington, why did GC decide to play in 3A instead of 4A? I understand the classification but Alcoa would win 3,5 and probably 5A.

I Guarantee you that when this series is over, it will never be with Lewis County! I am curious, however, when this series was scheduled-how far ago. I am willing to bet it was when the school first came into existence! Just so it’s known, L.C. Is a top 2A team on paper only. You guys helped prove that last evening.

Where did all the Lewis County posters go? Used to be as soon as the game was over if they won, the L.C. bunch would jump on the phones and call the score in to all of the T.V. stations in Nashville. But, when they lost, you wouldn’t hear a thing about it till the next evening. I guess this is gonna be one of those Friday nights! 2-0 28-0

I don’t know much about those West Tennessee teams but I have heard/do remember about Milan. SEEMs they were good and maybe even played in clinic Bowl back in the 80’s.

Here you are talking about the old "days". What about the "days" back in the 70's and 80's when Lewis County was in Single A and only made it to the third round ONE TIME; IN SINGLE A! Even in the 90's when y'all were AA you were still scheduling those little ole single A schools!! Gotta get that regular season paper championship. Looking back for decades, y'all played teams like Collinwood, Richland, Wayne County (only when you knew they were going to be down though/according to a poster on here year before last), Adamsville and some single A school from West Tennessee called Hollow Rock, and couldn't beat them! My guess is y'all scheduled this game against Fayetteville a few years ago when they first opened the school not thinking they were going to be much for several years, or longer! Amirite??? This is too funny! Thought you were going to pick up an easy W to inflate the schedule and it has turned around and bit you in the butt! Trying to pick on these little ole single A schools, especially when you think they are going to be down. Big bad Lewis County is finna get ROCKED by a 1A team!

Here you are trying to "make" things go out of context and turn a football forum thread into something completely different! Let's focus on the game, I mean, the loss you are going to have tonight after finally having to face competition during the regular season. I do need to point out that you guys are 2A and are actually playing against a 1A school!

@ladyvol31 You just have to ignore him and the other Lewis County clan. They are after me for consistently keeping them in their place. Do not take what I said lightly. Fairview has a very good team and will do well this year! I think this weeks rankings reflect this. On a side/personal note, I did notice one of the DL for y'all was a head buster! That kid went after it every single play! Good luck the rest of the season!

Probably correct on that assumption trader. I have been there but it has been many, many years ago! Yeah, um, naw! Oh yeah, they definitely do and at key times. Was there really any doubt going into that game who was going to win or the outcome? As to coincide with my previous comment in this post, those calls were probably make up calls to some of the other calls that are going to transpire throughout this season. Y'all will be able to look back at future/potential calls and claim that first game as either non-biased or not-for-Lewis County. But, then again, this is going to be a "down year" for y'all. It will be due to covid or players quitting, or players transferring or some other reason but won't be because Lewis County is/will be finally facing competition! Don't worry though, I'm sure the T$$AA buddies will have y'all back into a subpar region next year so that you can be the regular season paper champs once again!

Where are all the Lewis County fans this week? Their posts are usually 10 pages or more deep! lol-I’m posting on their forum more than they are!

Noticed how your fan base keeps reminding people Fayetteville is last years STATE CHAMPS.. But, not recognizing them as 1A state champs! Gotta push that fakeness!!

I've never said anything what so ever about how "horrible" Lewis County is! I've never said they were good or bad either. I've just stated the fact that they always play a weak schedule in a weak region and always get put out by the second round of the playoffs, even if they to 10-0 or 9-1. I agree with you daddy. It is extremely predictable to be put out each and every year by the second round! If Fayetteville is any semblance of last years team, they may very well mercy rule L.C. But, as another poster posted, strange things happen in Hohenwald on Friday nights. If it is raining there, and the right officials call the game, it could very well be a close game! "Your team is a joke. Page has never been good. It’s comical that you get on here and try (notice I said try) to trash another program when yours is irrelevant and has been for god knows how long. Pathetic. " Yeah, maybe, but at least we are not "fake" or a "fake program" and base pride on being the annual regular season paper champions!

It looked like we were a little over hyped after the Fairview game but I think we are going to be better than last year. I hope it’s more of first game or playing down to competition but we will soon find out.

Just now seeing this as it was not in the 5A/6A threads. Well, we’re not over rated this year but we certainly are not (yet) where we should/need to be. Our run game needs to step up and our blocking schemes could be much better, especially pass protection from the backfield. I think we all saw an over confident team walk in to play our little brother and the first game nuances showed. Refs didn’t help us any but we squeaked out a W. Have to give lots and I mean lots of credit to Fairview! Those kids did not lay down, at all! They may not be as large of a school as us but they certainly are not like Lewis County and scared to play quality competition!

Coming from another Williamson County school, for my two cents, I see them going very far into the playoffs if not all the way. Just depends on how well the teams from Memphis are (which I don’t even know if they are playing).

This translates to: ”down season” which means Lewis county might win three-four games because it’s a “down year” not that they have a higher quality schedule. For those who don’t know it’s because of Covid/players not playing or plaing for LC, etc.. Not because of a decent schedule.

Lewis County never plays anyone decent during the regular season and if they do, they always get beat. That is why they are always put out by the second round of the playoffs. Unless last night was an anomaly, we are in for a long season. I give credit to Fairview but we should not have allowed them in that game. I heard a few fans comment first game jitters bit I dunno.
