  1. This is sad. We have played Giles for as long as I can remember and never had a problem like what is being said here. However, I do remember a lot of drama with Alcoa one year. Is the problem in coaching or what is going on down there?
  2. I thought Milan chose up to 4A to avoid Alcoa? You mean they were in 4A because of enrollment numbers and then halved those numbers with an “Academy “ so they could play in 2A? Talk about a sorry bunch! Maybe it’s not direct cheating like BPM says but, it speaks volumes about their program!
  3. We're not talking about U.T. (Knoxville) and U.T. (Chattanooga) here being separate entities under the same umbrella! This is like saying U.T. Business Campus and U.T. Chemistry Campus is not part of the same University. Between this mess and calling out that kid a few years ago and then having it spun back on him last year, I bet ole @BIGPURPLEMACHINE stays clear of the boards for a while or comes back as @Littlepurplecheater.
  4. I think this speaks volumes for Marshall County and their program. I'm not sure just how good PC is/was but I do see a rematch coming! Who thinks it will be a better game than what this one sounded like?
  5. It makes so much sense now! It wasn't that they were just dodging competition moving up to 4A and sneaking into the state championship game due to Covid 19, they were actually hiding the numbers of enrollment by placing kids in an "Academy". If anyone has ever wondered, they have been called a fake program the past couple of years! 6. Can't blame anyone for using "the" system to their advantage. This can be said for almost anything from college players faking their injuries to college coaches using penalties to their advantage. I've even heard where fraternities and sororities have tests on file that they use. Too bad they have a rematch against straight up cheaters an competition dodgers Milan next week!
  7. Dang!!! I just thought they skipped back and forth and in between classifications to avoid competition. Had absolutely no idea this was going on! This is a double whammy for Milan and @bigpurplemachine!
  8. Here's one solution: Place Hohenwald in Region five with Summertown, Hickman County, Harpeth and Waverly. That gives you a five team region. Summertown is going to be your 50/50 shot at playing a team with a winning record and will be Hohenwald's .500 shot at beating a winning team. Then, schedule Zion Christian, (homeschool) Pure Academy, (0-50) Spring Hill, (basketball school) Community, and either Waynesboro, Collinwood or Red Boiling Springs. As for now, I'd leave Richland alone and not sure how Scotts Hill is going to be in the future but as for now, they are down. Way down. Therefore, they may be a good addition to the schedule. In order to accomplish this, the T$$AA is going to have to get involved and help get this mess with Hohenwald and their region set up, squared away and back to normal. Hohenwald can't be in a region with seven other teams and especially if those teams are decent to good! We are now seeing how that is turning out. Come on T$$AA, get this mess fixed!
  9. Giles is down but, they always play a very difficult schedule. Don't let the score against us fool anyone. That Hardin Co. loss is a head scratcher but Giles always schedules to be ready for playoff time!
  10. Neither the administration nor boosters supported him. Add in some of the parents of the time doing nothing but going against him, they got what they deserved. The administration should have recognized that the parents were only going to be supportive for a few short years but the program will be there much longer. I am a fan of his. Except for the stupid shish at Marion, he was a good coach and knew how to maximize the most out of his players. That's okay. People learn something new every day.
  11. From what I have read on here and heard from some friends in West Tennessee, I respect your score but, flip it towards Covington. That strong running game of Covington is going to grind the clock and their LB's are going to stop Westview's run game. Also, have been told Covington has some size and speed at DB so, that might hamper the long passing game. Still, WR screens may be Westview's go to or, they may pop one or two deep. I'm venturing Covington 34 and Westview 21-24. Haven't heard anyone say Westview can stop Covington's run game and, with many three and outs, Covington may control most of the clock.
  12. After the way they treated McCurry, they got what they sewed.
  13. I'm confident Hohenwald beats Waverly but, who is favored in the Loretto vs mTp? If Hohenwald wins and mTp wins, is Hohenwald out of the playoff picture?
  14. It's just a random kind of year for Hohenwald, this year. All the stars kinda lined up against them. First, same as last year, they are in an eight team region not the typical five or six team region. Therefore, they were not able to pick four or five bottom feeder programs to embellish the regular season record. Second, who knew that R5 was going to have so many of those eight teams with winning records? I'm sure some of those teams surely picked up on what Hohenwald has been doing the past three decades and also scheduled teams of lesser quality but still, who expected Loretto to do so well last year and East Hickman this year? Add in that Creekwood wasn't a push over this year and that's a recipe for scheduling disaster! If the T$$AA doesn't step in and do something about the region Hohenwald is in such as move it back to the four, maybe five worst teams in the area and place Hohenwald in it, it may not matter who the coach is! But, then again, look at what the one year coach did for that program that one year he was there. They actually made it to the third round! The blame lies with the T$$AA on this mess with Hohenwald, not necessarily the coaches!
  15. Does a 4-3, 5-5 Loretto get in the playoffs over a 4-3, 6-4 Hohenwald? Loretto won the head to head.
  16. Would that mean the rematch would be round three at the earliest?
  17. Westview vs Covington part I and II may very well be good games! I take Covington in this one and Westview in the rematch as long as it’s not below 47 degrees. If they play again later in the playoffs and it’s cold, Covington all the way; regard Of the location.
  18. Reason I’m asking is that turf equal fast and Westview plays on turf for their home games. Would Covington happen to play on turf?
  19. It’s in reference to the OP first post calling out Waverly, not Hohenwald.
  20. Westview loses this one but, knowing they can be beat, they avenge this loss in the playoffs (IF) they catch Covington at home. Difficult to beat a good team twice!
  21. To me, the greatest thing that could have happened to the rural schools (and everyone) was moving all private schools to their own classification. I think it was about 3-4 decades too late!
  22. Wonder if the drop off of Richland's play has anything to do with Hohenwald's coaching trouble? Timing of their let down seems to have occurred after the attempted coup in Hohenwald. To do well at Richland and be from Hohenwald makes one wonder.
