The one thing going for Sweetwater is excluding those Lipscomb games back in the day and that buzzsaw of an Alcoa team last year, GC has a tendency to lay an egg in the playoffs (excluding those two championship runs).

We take the rematch this time but, it’s going to be the game of the year for sure! Not saying it should be the actual state championship game but, this will be a much better game than either the HC/Springfield or our winner versus their winner. Not to be looking ahead but, there could very well be a rematch for the Ship this year!

New coach, new offense, new era!

He’s taking up/picking up the slack from the poster who used every thread in the forum to call out Lewis County for always having a weak schedule.

Sometimes it’s better to be lucky that good. We’ve had it so far tonight. Just hasn’t seemed that we were motivated, or something.

How is basketball practice going down there, over in Scotts Hill?

Adamsville barely beat Richland. Barely. That should be enough but to break it down, they beat a team that Collinwood, evidently a small 1A school with a losing record, got beat by. Having won against their only real competition (Riverside) (excluding Fayetteville), there should be absolutely no way Hohenwald loses to them. New regime; new offense; new season and new era!

You had your other post(s) deleted because of similar verbiage. You should, very strongly, take into account of what General stated to you. Not only will others completely disengage with you but you will most like become banned because of it!

Thanks for the fandom! The funny thing is, you decided to interject yourself into something that had nothing to do with you. However, by doing so, you (inadvertently) brought your own program into it and, that program does not even have a paper championship!

I am only quoting this post because it is your last one on this thread but, what I am stating boasts for all of your post. You are just ignorant and it shows, highly! A great idea for you; why don’t you just get off of the T and get back to staring at all of those paper championships hanging on your wall. General is correct in that you add absolutely nothing to these forums. All you do is speak in a manner befitting a teenage high schooler. The bright side is that the next game is against Adamsville so, if the ghosts of years past are silenced with a new program, Hohenwald will be in round three this year!

Your total obsession with me has completely convoluted your entire thinking. Of all the posters on here, you of all should know that I commented last season that he was a Scotts Hill fan. If you really had any knowledge of what you speak of, you would know that, that comment was thrown at the playoff appearances of his team. How does it feel to be in the second round for the fifth or sixth year in a row?

A quick look at schedules shows Mt. Pleasant getting beat by a terrible 5A school by something like 10 but beating a Richland school that was put out in the first round by Adamsville and barely beat Loretto. On the flip side, you have Riverside who was blown out by Huntington and barely lost to Hohenwald. Really, we don’t know how good Hohenwald is nor Riverside but we have to deduce that a region boasting a 2A team that got beat by a terrible 1A Collinwood just simply cannot be that good. Now, saying that, I have not kept up with Mt. Pleasant, at all. So, I don’t know if they have the same play off experience as Riverside. Should be a good game nevertheless and who ever wins will face Hohenwald in the third round! That is if Hohenwald has truly changed under the new coach and offensive system.

I think it comes down to which Green Hill team we catch. I’m playing it safe and saying we win by 14. Could be 7 or it could be 21. I just hope we are not looking ahead or counting on last years play to bail us out.

Page had some wrinkles to iron out and I think that we finally turned the steam up enough. I say two touchdowns, At least.

I say Mt. Pleasant as the region 5/6 representative to face one of the teams to the west. Because Hohenwald beat Riverside for this year’s paper championship, Riverside is most likely down. If that’s the case, looking at the bracket set up, Mt Pleasant has to be the best team of either. However, LC has a new coach and new offensive scheme so maybe this is the year they actually make it to and past round four.

General, this year, this bracket is set up for LC to (surely) make it to RD three. But, everyone knows how LC is come playoff time so, new coach/new system, maybe they make it to the third round. Was Riverside really good this year or were they a product of their schedule? History is against them and surely, by now, everyone knows that history. Is the top 10 ranking credible? Everyone knows Fayetteville is a juggernaut but was Riverside really that good? Just have to look past him General. He came out of retirement after 11 months; just like last year, to start his passionate rhetoric. A 45 year old man (or mother living through her son) trying to root on his old high school team. Reminds me of that party scene in Varsity Blues where the guy still goes to Friday night parties after games. Salem, barring any upsets, this bracket should be interesting come round three. Surely LC can handle business this Friday. The next week should be just as easy against Richland. I mean, we are talking about Richland after all. Then they have either a rematch against Riverside or Mt. Pleasant. Better hope it’s Riverside if they have a desire for round four. If it’s Mt. Pleasant, we will know Riverside was a beneficiary of a fortous schedule and the season ending win against them was not really worth much. In all reality, what decent 2A teams can’t beat Cascade and Richland; that’s if Richland beats Adamsville. If not, as bad as LC actually is season after season (but not on paper, hense paper champions), how difficult of a win is it against Adamsville in any given year? Either way, you will have Riverside/Mt. Pleasant versus one of those west Tennessee teams. Don’t know much about them except Peabody is and has been terrible for several years now (except the gifted Covid season). Are those:Huntington/Westview/Fairly, etc teams good or are they over ranked too?

No back peddling. You are excited to claim a Covid win because your team is not relevant, no longer. Maybe now that you are moving down in a classification, you may have more success.

New coach; different offense, same Lewis County: Only play one decent team (excluding Fayetteville this year and last), lose and then play one of the weakest teams from the other regions, then win (most of the time) and lose the second round game. Different year but same Hohenwald. Riverside all the way.

Oh, okay (was so waiting for you to actually say 2020). So, you are claiming the Covid shortened season with forfits and “bye” games which allowed Milan to actually play teams that were not very good then skip a couple of playoff games and them get throttled in the championship game? How Lewis County of you. Does that mean Milan is #paperchampions too? No wonder you have involved yourself so much into Lewis County’s plight of not playing anyone of relevance but yet claiming relevancy and rankings.
