dont forget the girls coming from liberty (potts, calvert, and boyce) and got one coming from new prospect out of lawrenceburg (muckle) boyce is recovering from an acl tear but hopefully she will be back and potts is a very good scorer, calvert is very decent at the post, haven't seen muckle play in about a year or so but she has a pretty good 3 from what i hear. Young guns coming on board ready to be reloaded!! with the 8th graders coming up, these girls will complete the best class coming through shelbyville in a long time according to the former coach. While JA may be considered one of the strongest players for Shelbyville it has been Jarrell and Buchanan that have done a lot of the work for the Eaglettes in the last few games that have gotten them out of districts and regions. Both of them home grown I believe.

Curious, do you know the stats on these two girls? How many assists does Daffern have each game? How many assists WOULD she have if team mates could either catch the ball and make the shot? And with the way their teammates treat them off the court who would blame them? Daffern needs to run the floor, it is her court as she IS the point guard, post players do not need to bring the ball down the floor and while Jessie needs to look up more while she is dribbling she is probably one of the fastest girls in the district she she will probably beat you down the court 9 times out of 10. They may very well lose tonite, I just don't believe they have the heart at this time. It was very rough for them with the loss to Eagleville. Teenage girls can be so cruel to ones they need the most. I know, I have a few of my own. And yes the others need to grow up some and not look to moma in the stands. Actually, it was me, not him. Why just Carly and Jessie? Because they are the only ones on that team that I care about. Some of the rest of your beloved queens need to grow up and play TEAM ball. It isn't all about who gets more points and gets mentioned in the paper. That is all minor and trivial. They don't put that in the W/L column. And as far as I know, there aren't anymore going to town to play ball. If some of the parents had kept their mouths shut and let the girls play ball and not be jealous of the ones that know how to play maybe that wouldn't have happened either. And no I haven't actually watched them play this year but from what I hear from RELIABLE sources with an unbiased opinion the problems still exist from the ones we encounter a few years back. Anyway, enough preaching. I only hope the best for Carly and Jessie. I know these girls work hard for everything they do for this team and all they get is grief from others. Unionville's problems are only growing because well basically the parents in the stands (not all of them though). Someone tell them to keep their heads up and do what you know is RIGHT and WHAT they know how to do and maybe it will work out in the end.

yes I believe they both played. Ankle injury was just a sprain and the knee injury played most of the game but not all.

She doesn't play for Brown in AAU she plays for Team Pride with Woosley's team. And her mom has said on several occasions that she will stay at RBS. Things could have changed since I talked with her last, one never knows BUT it seems that she is very happy and doing very well at RBS.

I don't believe I would have enjoyed watching this young lady scoring that many points on the team they played but would have enjoyed watching them come from behind and win by a point or two. That would have been more of an accomplishment than scoring 113 points anyday. Not taking anything away from the girl, surely she is a great player, but I myself just have to wonder WHY?

My daughter played with Laken a few summers ago, that was the only reason I wanted to watch her, watched them play last summer at high school camp, and she didn't play with the varsity then just their jv but I know she is a very good ball player and just wanted to support her. heard she is doing very well in the high school arena,, not bad for an eighth grader !!

Ptguard, what is the site for that info? All I can find is the home page and it doesn't offer as much info as it did a few months ago. Did they change their website? I know the SSS Nike is going, already booked the rooms, just don't know about the listings? Some of our parents have said they have seen the lists (I haven't, can't find anything on either website about team listings, AAU or Daytons) but we aren't listed. Just want to make sure we ARE included and not left out by mistake. Thanks ahead for any info.
