I think the Alcoa school system is dangling a pretty good carrot to keep him. IMO, He will take the Football Program too the next level when he is announced Head Coach. No doubt, I'm a BIG fan!

The Alcoa Band has good food at the Game. Grilled Hamburgers and Hot Dogs. Good Chicken Wings. It all goes to fund the Band Members.

In the past, a great QB would not consider playing is Alcoa Offensive system. But, over the last three to four years, Alcoa has really opened up the offense and started throwing the ball much more. In the past, Maryville only had to really cover the running game when playing us. Like, last year if we throw the ball well, I think we can win again.

My thoughts on the future success of Alcoa is very good. If Alcoa can win this year, I really think we got a good chance to win again next year. Alcoa's Middle school is undefeated, and I think Maryville has lost several games? Plus, Maryville and the other Blount County schools will not play them? Also, the freshman QB, Lunsford looked amazing against Knox Central and Oak Ridge in big JV game wins.

Covington had excellent Teams both years and made for a nail biting fourth quarter. I would rather have a close game as opposed to a blowout.

This years Alcoa team is very good on Offense. They can run and throw.

Alcoa had their JV team. The QB and most of the Offensive Line was freshman. Freshman QB number 11 and offensive linemen number 79 are going to be very good. Hope number 9 gets back soon. He is going to be very good also.

Oak Ridge brought twice as many fans to Alcoa for yesterdays JV game than Austin East did Friday night for the Varsity game.

Thanks, it's going to be fun to watch it unfold in 3A. Loudon and Red Bank look much better this year on the East side of the state.

Another big win for the Alcoa JV team! They played Oak Ridge Monday. 27-7 was the final. last week they beat Knox Central. The future looks bright in Alcoa. Plus, the Middle School is 3-0. They had one Middle school game with Carter rained out. Could be 4-0.

Thats it, Stratford is the other school that did well in the playoff last year? Are they good this year?
