  1. MASE is not the typical small school football program in Memphis. They will easily win by 3 TDS. Refs won’t allow a blowout, 2-3 of MASE TDS will get called back for holding.
  2. First of all i would like to say Congratulations, be we both know Trenton was not the best team in 2a this year.
  3. When was the last time Lake County won or played for in the state championship game?
  4. They will see how much they could’ve used D Robinson in this game
  5. The 1a playoffs has finally started, hope this will be a competitive game.
  6. Not sure about Alcoa but I will say that the powerhouses in rural west Tn has always had great players but 90 percent do not earn scholarships. Mostly because of grades and coaches not taking to time to help players get recruited.
  7. I was talking about powerhouses None from your area, because of all the focus on winning football games. It you can get a kid to improve year after year on the football field then the same improvement should show in the classroom as well as getting kids getting scholarships
  8. Yes they have had great football players, but powerhouses have numerous players offered scholarships on a yearly basis. Too many programs in the area are more focused on wins and loses and not kids making it to the next level and succeeding in life.
  9. I’m not talking about black coaches that are in predominantly black areas of the state or predominantly black schools. Those coaches probably have not experienced in racial setbacks. I’m talking about the rural west Tn Schools that rarely have black head coaches. In these areas you have to be extraordinary to say the least. You will not get the time that other coaches or given to succeed. The coaches you named didn’t start out winning 8,9, or 10 games the first few years as a head coach. It takes time. Milan is a great program but it’s not like y’all have 3, 4 , 5 star recruits like the serious powerhouse programs have throughout the state. Humble yourselves
  10. What is a race card? Most wouldn’t understand the obstacles faced of becoming a black head coach in rural west TN. Take for example Huntingdon, Coach Mansfield underachieved for years before being able to make it passed the 1st couple of rounds of the playoffs.
  11. I would have give him more years, Milan plays in the toughest region in West Tn and also the toughest schedule. The emergence of S Gibson has also weaken Milan football.
  12. What ever happened to #7 Dequon Robinson? He was special.
  13. It’s 1a football, in the whole state it might be 4 good teams and everyone else is garbage.
  14. It’s Freedom Prep not the whole school system. And please stop with all the stereotyping of Memphis schools
  15. Not sure how true it is, but I hearing that Freedom Prep might still make the playoffs because the ineligible player didn’t play in all 7 games. That might be a #4 seed.
  16. How do teacher salaries help the kids of Memphis? Not many kids in this school system benefited. Are teaching for money or what?
  17. You right that did research and didn’t experiment.
  18. Man Memphis City schools is not the only thing that is a downward spiral, it’s the whole city. Mainly because of politics. Poor people are always prey upon. But do put everyone in Memphis in the same boat, we have more than just a few school in this county. It’s easy to say negative comment about a small percentage of schools. For every scholl are programs you think cheat, I can mean 15 that are not But I can say In my 15 years of service I helped thousands of kids get scholarships and succeed in life. It’s bigger than just football with me.
  19. Politics are crooked everywhere, it’s bigger than Memphis. Memphis never benefited but a whole lot that did
  20. Please do your research before responding to anything about Memphis City Schools. I've worked in the school system for over 15 years and sadly when the state took over some of our schools were destroyed. Memphis became an experiment so say the least. I would say a lot and out of town decision makers were paid nicely. After the money starting running low without any positive results they disappear. So your statement was right it was a CULTURE OF Failure. The Tennessee old time culture.
  21. A little enlightenment of the Bill Gates foundation:https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/answer-sheet/wp/2018/06/29/bill-gates-spent-hundreds-of-millions-of-dollars-to-improve-teaching-new-report-says-it-was-a-bust/
  22. Being from Huntingdon i know all to well how winning on Friday nights in these small towns is more important than academics could ever be. You can look at all the all state players i played with which won a tremedous amount of games. Only 2 out of 12 went on to play college football. WHY? Most if not all of our parents didnt realized what he takes academically to qualify andcoaches where more worried about success on the field, etc etc. Lastly maybe instead of being on the chat, maybe you should start helping some of tthese great players in your area get recruiting by emailing and sending videos to some of the college recruiters. you might just see some of them play of Sat
  23. We know it’s a fact that Freedom prep only had a football team for 3 years but in a few years they will have more kids with football scholarships and Lake county has ever had. Most to 4 year university not JUCO. Let’s not talk about the academic scholarships. Don’t believe all the stereotypes about Memphis. Yes we don’t have a few bad apples but you can’t name many Memphis programs that actually cheated.
  24. But let’s get real, unfortunately going to the playoffs will be the highlight of y’all players football careers. I do know Prep has players that will play on Sat. Over and out
  25. Call them for what, I’m stating what one of your dumb fan posted about having kids come from other schools. Take that up with him dude.
