I agree with this! Dyersburg has a good team, however, they do not have the playoff experience that covington has! Dyersburg may even have more talent but Covington has beat many teams that has had more talent! Covington knows how to prepare and again i say, They will be more hungry due to how their season ended last year. Sorry Dyersburg, Covington wins! I will say, IF Dyersburg wins, i will cheer for them all the way!!! Go Chargers!!!

Yea, Martin or memphis. I do not have a clue what bethel has. I'm sure their are a couple other college facilties as well like Austin Peay but not sure they would be very appealing. I'm trying to think what would be on this side of Nashville?

I like the idea (probably a dumb idea, lol) of having the championship location rotate with the bracket. So when the west is the "home" team, have the championship on the western end of the state and visa versa for when the east is the "home" team. I'm sure that's nearly impossible and will never happen but an idea anyway.

I feel like whoever comes out of the west this year will give the east a tougher game than normal! We will be tougher than the east will expect!

1st, If Dyersburg makes it to Chattanooga, i will cheer for them as if it were my Chargers!! However, If "If" the Chargers and the Trojans meet in round 3, the Trojans better be ready, not game 6 ready, playoff ready! Covington will bring their A game of A games!! The culture is different there and frankly Dyersburg doesn't know what's coming! Oh, keep one thing in mind, the Chargers had their season stripped from them in playoffs last year because of covid! So there is that added motivation (which was the week of their revenge game with Milan)!

Thanks for the info guys!! I was browsing through some history of the playoffs and thought about that team and remembered how dominate the portland team was. They seemed to have team determination to go with their talent. Covington was stacked that year as well and we (fans) thought we were going to at least compete. Boy were we wrong! We all new after the first couple minutes the game was over! Wish i could watch it again! lol

This is a very random question but did any of the players from the 2000 championship team play college ball? They put a beating on my Covington Chargers that game! They were an awesome team!! They had two linebackers that were beasts!! Sorry for the random question. lol

I can feel all of this!! My dad would tell me "the older you get the faster time goes by". Gosh was he right!! I can definitely remember my last game! I cried like a baby!! But football taught me so much!! I want to wish all the teams the best!! I want a gold ball brought back to this side of the TN River in every class regardless of who is representing!!!! What impresses me is the focus that this team has!! They have yet to look unprepared or confused. This team is definitely different and I’m excited to see how the rest of the season goes!! Go Tomcats!!!

I know there has been threads about this before but an interesting idea, just my opinion, is rotate the championship location with the "home" team. When the west side of the bracket is the "home" team, have the game location towards the western part of the state and when the eastern side of the bracket is the "home" team have the game location on the eastern end of the state. Probably a silly idea and will never happen but hey,, makes good conversation.

One thing is for sure about the chargers is that they run the Wing T to near perfection and can be tough to stop! It appears that Covington has ran multiple offensive formations this year. These two teams facing each other ids a recipe for a great game!!

I am guessing the Bolivar game was a practice game for Covington to run the spread. (prepping for the tomcats and deep playoff run).

BTW, I just wanted to say thank you to whoever helped provide the live stream video for the Tomcat/Hornets game Friday night!! The footage was good and the commentators were nice to listen to! (Even though they were hornets! lol)
