Man don’t start that crap. No worse officiating anywhere than Rhea Co. I expect Rhea to win. McMinn has too many things to work on. Most notably is our offense. I don’t like our play calling or our results from our play calling. Fell like Rhea has many more options and weapons to win this game unfortunately for us. Hopefully we can get better as the year goes on

Hadley what do u think of our coaching? I think Bo gives his all for the school but man how many times are we just gonna run it into the line. I really wish we would go after Simbeck. Former player and coach for McMinn and a heck of a up and coming coach.

McMinn has 17 penalties in week 1!!! That has to be cleaned up for them to have a chance. I guess if I had to pick this one I guess I would give Cleveland an advantage with home field advantage

Richly Rich McMinn beat Cleveland 42-7 two years ago. However with that being said I could honestly see this going either way. I wouldn’t be surprised if McMinn won or I wouldn’t be surprised if Cleveland won. Both these teams have some questions to answer and things to address

That Howard game was the worse officiated game I have ever witnessed. Howard would not have won without them. They were either parents of Howard players or Howard faculty calling the game. I mean I get it. Home team usually gets a call or two but that was the worst display of fair play I’ve ever witnessed. Refs should be reported. Definitely Howard alumni

Oh I agree the Bearettes are great. Every year really. But I thought this was the boys basketball forum? Howard boys are good and are gonna be a tough test for everyone they play

McMinn County has gotten better as the season has gone along. Quality wins over Clinton and outplayed a very good Oak Ridge team Saturday night. Tough test from for the Kees will be playing at Howard on Tuesday night

Nice talking with y’all. I guess McMinn and I will bow out for the year now lol. Two quality teams in Rhea and Powell. I think the question is can Rhea’s scheme outdo Powell’s pure athleticism speed and size. I think offensively if Rhea can play possession ball on offense and control clock, stay ahead of the chains (which their offensive scheme can do) this game can be close. I don’t know if it’s the sound defeat we just got handed but I would put my pick on Powell in this one. Would not be surprised if they win it all. Impressive team

Dawg it’s unfortunate but you are so right. A lot of these kids are emulating what they see on TV and unfortunately it’s the wrong behavior a lot of times. Win or lose have some class. Make a good play, act like you have been there done that.

This game is definitely gonna be a very hard test for the Cherokees. Powell’s passing attack and size are gonna be tough for us for sure. McMinn probably needs to play as much of a mistake free game it can and maybe get a key turnover or two. One thing you will get from every McMinn team is full go on every play. Effort won’t be their problem

Well talking about McMinn, win lose or draw this Friday night they should be proud of the hard work they put in this year. They probably exceeded many people’s expectations for them this year. They had tremendous teams the previous two years and the 20 seniors they lost coming into this season accounted for a lot of that success. This team has played hard and got better as the season has gone along. Pulling for them this Friday. Go Tribe

Guys as a McMinn fan I wish we had discipline. We may lead Tennessee in unsportsmanlike penalties. I would never point out some kid in high school but one in particular on our team lacks discipline. It showed up big against Oak Ridge. There is little chance we beat a good team in Powell and have stupid penalties. We need to be near perfect in this one. Much respect to Powell and GO TRIBE

Tough game for anyone to come up short. Both teams played hard. McMinn won the first half and Oak Ridge the second half. Much respect to the Oak Ridge football program.

Yea I remember that game SweetScience. He was a big kid but I can’t recall a name. He was a black kid I think. So he left McMinn and went to Oak Ridge the following year?

I’m a McMinn fan so it hurts a little to say this about Rhea being one of our rivals lol but Rhea has a great team well coached and I believe will make noise in the playoffs. If anybody sleeps on them they will make them pay for it

Powell, West are tough for sure but don’t sleep on Rhea Co. They definitely can play with anyone in the playoffs in my opinion. This hurts me to say this of course as a McMinn fan lol
