After reading this, I will go with the obvious. Multi, multi, multi, millionaire. I live around, and know a lot of wealthy people. You would never know they were wealthy. OMG, how many times have you posted this on CoachT? Why didn't you mention that you had some of the best players to ever come through Volunteer and never accomplished nothing. You tried to play a slow down controlled game with a roster full of athletes. Probably the only players in that time period that were better was Science Hill. I remember you wearing a shirt that had all your accomplishments printed on it. Who does that? Only you!!!

With the enrollment over 2,400 students, this should never happen. 2400 STUDENTS. The ole saying, if you get beat 20 the other team has more talent. If you keep getting beat by a few points, it's coaching.

Why not go back to 2 refs. Maybe this would rid some of the worst one's.

John Dyer, (are you kidding me)? He has coached for almost 40 years. He just got win #600, an average of 15 wins per season. One state tournament trip in 40 years. If he hadn't moved down to AA for several years, his win total would be atrocious. Don't believe me, look it up. They named a gym after him! Well, they named the gym at west ridge after the school superintendent for some crazy reason. This was pathetic, when you have gym's named after Buck Van Huss, Dickie Warren, Bobby Snyder Charlie Bayless. That is the way that works.

Just seen Coach Warren has passed. He was a legend in East Tn. along with Buck VanHuss, Bobby Snyder, and Charlie Bayless. All 4 have now passed and have left a legacy in East Tn. When Coach Warren started at Central he had some of the best teams in the area. The best was 70-71, 36-0 ranked #1 in the state. Lost a heartbreaker in first round of state tournament. He had 922 wins from 1958-2000. Anyone have any memories of Coach Warren?

No, you post implied that these were the teams that DB played and has contributed to their lack of success of DB. Who else in the area did they play besides these that has hampered them. How far do you want to go back 30, 40, 50? Maybe the days when the Sports Writers picked the state champion, instead of playing it on the field. Don't blame other school for their lack of success.

Quit trying to make excuses. DB played: Central 5 games Volunteer 5 games East 0 Since 2001 (20 years) these are the only times DB played them. Good try. DB is a big school with no success. We'll tell Maryville next Friday DB says hey.

Just got a call from my good friend Coach Saban. He has lost an assistant that has to be quarantined due to the kung flu. He is looking for a coach to replace him for a couple of weeks. I told him that the coaches on Coach T are the best and second to none. If you would leave your #, I will get the message to him. LOL

He got out of East, next year will be a big down year for them. I always thought he didn't want to coach with the big boys (DB, SH and others). He will get a new experience next year. I don't think he even would schedule them at East. Will all the players from Central, South and North show up at West Ridge next year?

Would you rate Buck a great coach? He never won one at db.

Been hearing some rumors that West Ridge will be South 2.0 with the coaches.

I would say that since he didn't coach the last game, it was resign or get fired.

I'm hearing they are going to name all South coaches in boys sports. I hope this is not true. Hopefully they have a lot to pick from in Baseball and Basketball. North has always had a good baseball program.
