  1. Good luck gettin these rednecks to explain themselves.
  2. Alcoa got hosed! Don't let them keep you from speaking your truth @BCsportsfan
  3. You've got me hooked. When will something be announced?
  4. What are they going to have to do? Forfeit their two measly wins?
  5. I'm an MJ fan so what I think doesn't amount to a hill of beans our season is going down the drain so I'm looking forward to this game. Outside of the thriller last Thursday with Catholic I think this game will be one of the best of the year for Knoxville. I don't like "good" loss logic. What do you have to show for that game? That being said I just don't see West pulling it out. It's going to be a tight game so it could go either way. I'm leaning more towards Central because they have quietly gained momentum on average at best opponents while West has been in some knock down drag outs with superior teams that seem to have cost them some key players. I also don't think either team is what they were two years ago in the semi finals.
  6. I'm curious what the Sevier Co loss does to Campbell Co. I know Oak Ridge has struggled this year but I have hope that this could be a good game.
  7. That's right, I think they promoted the defensive coordinator. I wonder what impact the memory of that semifinal game will have on both teams. All indicators point towards a repeat of that contest. Mainly a defensive attraction that could go either way.
  8. I do believe each iteration of both staffs have only met once in the 2019 semifinal game but I have been wrong before.
  9. CC +7 Central +3 Farragut +17 South Doyle +10 Fulton +3
  10. Lamar Brown must have been the best man in your wedding. Anyways, I do expect a hard fought game. This one will probably be a defensive battle.
  11. Really hoping MJ can pull this one out!
  12. The Blazer was acting like it was up at Graham Clark's cathedral of high school football.
  13. I agree. I like Mark and enjoy the banter he and Austin have. I have to admit the little jabs Mark throws at Austin do make me laugh.
  14. My mistake. This is another thing that struck me as odd, Powell had the ball on a key possession and it was either a 3rd and short or 2nd and short and they didn't run the ball, they popped it to the wideout. This may be making a mountain out of a mole hill but why not get behind the big uglies up front and let that back get the first down? There were similar situations throughout the game. I know they are a pass heavy team but that back is something else. Tough runner!
  15. I thought it was a great game of back and forth until the end. In some ways similar to the Central/South Doyle game two Thursdays ago. A lot of good action for three and a half quarters but the ending was botched. I don't know what Catholic was doing on their second to last possession. Then when Powell still had the ball before Catholic's last possession, there was about a minute 40 left to go and on the last play of that drive the QB from Powell sprinted out with room to run but opted to throw and threw it (on a rope) and the clock stopped. Had the QB run it would have taken at least another 40 seconds off the clock maybe even forcing Catholic to start using timeouts. I'm just glad that "interception" that Powell threw didn't impact the game as much as it could have. These Zebras guys!
  16. Let's steer this back to the purpose of this thread. West is going to get a sound whooping this week but how many delusional West fans are there that think since West played Alcoa so "close" they will hang with Maryville? My money is on quite a few. But my guy @BCsportsfan knows all too well that West won't be getting help from the Zebras this time. I just hope on Friday evening there isn't a class action lawsuit against Coach Hunt and his staff for child abuse. I'll be dining at Las Margaritas and stopping for a few packs of Mike & Ikes at the Maryville Walmart. I'm sharing them with @rebelwoman87. I may be a habitual MJ fan but this week you'll see me with a big foam finger hollering GO RED REBELS!
  17. 5A standings entering Week 10 according to the Tennessean: 1. Knox West 2. Page 3. Powell 4. Memphis Central 5. Knox Central 6. Green Hill 7. Station Camp 8. Mount Juliet 9. Springfield 10. Munford West, Powell, Station Camp, and Green Hill have all beaten three teams with a winning record. Page, Memphis Central, Knoxville Central, Springfield, and Munford have beaten two teams with a winning record. And my Mount Juliet Golden Bears have only beaten one team with a winning record. I'm curious what you all think about this.
  18. They won't have help like they did against Alcoa that is for sure. Don Story won't allow it. The score of this game will be a true reflection of how the Alcoa game should have gone.
  19. Bradley +10 WB +7 Halls +10 Farragut +14 Powell +7
  20. West can find the endzone twice. 35-14 Maryville.
  21. A thousand pardons I didn't catch it. I'm curious how you think see the eastern part of the 5A playoff bracket sorting out in each round. I need an Tedtalk HTV style!
  22. This will be a good one but I could easily see Halls pulling away late in the game. @HTV thoughts on this one?
