This group is a bunch of fighters. They never lay down. I can’t count how many times this year the opposing team moved the ball down our throat on the first possession and scored. But they never waiver for a second.

Most (all) of the voters strictly look at record and vote. I wonder how many teams in 2A would be 7-2 at this point of the season with Huntingdon’s record. Definitely not saying they are the best team just some food for thought.

I think I agree as well. UC has the slight edge with their athletes. Both teams have a pretty good chance of representing the West this year, but I will say UC wins 1A and Huntingdon wins 2A next year. Both teams are young and rolling.

I wouldn’t consider UC the under dog. They are a great team that could have won against WV if they were completely healthy at the time. UC had a couple of things go wrong for them at the end of the first half and early in the third Qtr but they were in that game. Same as Huntingdon. I think all three teams are close, giving Westview the slight edge with their big time athletes. Ought to be interesting to see how it turns out.

MASE may have a weak schedule, but I must say I would feel uneasy about having to play them (esp. in Memphis) in the playoffs. Who does it look like they could be playing 2nd Rd? My team is in 2A, but I’m more excited about 1A playoffs

Interesting matchup for sure. This is a different WV team that got beat by Dresden, but this is also a different Huntingdon team that got man-handled against McK. WV must contain the run once again this week. Although I will say the running attack is slightly different than UC’s with all the misdirection and use of the edge. Huntingdon must be able to contain WV’s big athletes in pass coverage. I expect a high scoring affair. Team with least amount of turnovers wins this one.

I agree. As deep and talented as 1A is this year, especially in the west, I really do think McK is in a league of their own. They have it all. A do-it-all QB, one of the fastest players in the state, depth at the athlete position, and a defense that completely shut down a good Dresden and Huntingdon offense.

Just curious about the Jackson kid for Fayetteville. I watched last nights game and noticed he never got a touch on offense. Actually I don’t think he ever even lined up on offense. I did notice he ran back a punt return so he’s obviously not hurt.

I’m an outsider with no ties to the Peabody program, but I love to tune in to the Worthy Studios broadcast each week just because of how well it is done. If that is true, that is a shame. Wow!
