Heard that principal over there was not letting in those football deals anymore. I guess she likes basketball. But the other question is the TSSAA rules. Normally private to public you have to sit out a year when the schools are within 20 miles. I am curious as to why #2 does not have to sit out

Yes for all of those reasons. Too easy to make region tournaments, watered down competition, etc. Would be great to see same districts in all sports. Also, why have classes in individual sports like golf and tennis? Why does it matter if you are at a big or small school there?

I know that, but it seems that nobody wants to be the coach over there. The two coaches in the last year and a half have left. Luke was a Catholic alum and favorite son. You cannot tell me that being an assistant at lowly Trevecca would pay more than the pope's army over there. Why would Blair leave? Or why would he get dismissed? I wonder what is going on? @IrishBBall

What happened in the Maryville and Bearden game? I know Knox Co schools had to take 2 weeks off (except for Farragut), but Maryville was practicing all last week

Bearden defeated Brandon Miller and Jarred Hall...but give DB credit. They played very well that tournament after getting the easiest draw. Best Coaches in East TN imo are at Fulton, Bearden, Greeneville, Oak Ridge, Sevier Co, and DB

Yea beating DB, Greeneville, or Science Hill doesn’t count but beating Heritage and William Blount do for Blevins. You may want to check the teams Bearden has played in the last 7 years

Get out of here with that stuff. Fulton has their big 3 recruits that Jody Wright stole from AE and Bearden did not. To me it seemed like Bearden was outmatched, but they coached a good enough game to win and was one chase down block away from winning that one. You are not worth responding to anymore after these takes about "experience".

5 state tournaments in 7 years at Bearden…Wins 83% of his games at Bearden…Sounds like those numbers speak for themselves. Who are you to say his wins don’t count? Wow. 2 kids that transferred from Karns and 1 from the East side (all did so coming out of middle school) out of 30+ kids on the roster freshmen, jv, and varsity. That is quite a recruiting job!

Interesting that you "know" all of these things about the program and continue to bash Bearden's coaches and players. You obviously have an axe to grind or need some better sources

at private schools and some that have middle schoolers on the same campus. No way to legislate it for other schools. Funny that you single out one school like this. Keep your troll journal entries to yourself

Terrible idea. Several school systems have middle schools that feed more than 1 high school. No way to make this work

The last several years Bearden has played excellent defense from what I have seen. They regularly hold teams well under their season averages. Right now coacht page has them allowing only 40.8 ppg...
