Fast, athletic, and got some length. They just didn’t look like they wanted it against South Fulton. They were fresh and SF just played JCS. But they were a little flat. I was impressed with their earlier game. They’ve got some ballers

Yes. They didn’t lose anyone. The will have start 4 seniors and a junior. Expecting a good season. They also beat Ezell Harding. That game went to the wire. Ezel is a fast and athletic team. They will do really well this year

The Ayers girl was at the UTM camp this week with USJ. Dominant player. Saw her play Mckraken Co (ky) and South Fulton. They lost both games.

Anyone know who’s playing at the UTM camp next week?

I believe McKenzie dropped down to 1A two years ago and they have won the girl basketball title both years since then. Not 100% on that

We don’t have enough kids in 1A to concentrate on one sport. You’ll have to come up with another excuse. I can only speak for our small school but I’m sure it’s the same for most 1A

Congrats Gibson Co. That was a heck of a game. Hard fought win. Tough defense, rebounded well and Hart did her thing

That was a good game. Free throws were huge for GC. Hart had a heck of a game too

Sorry I know this is an old thread but I’m just reading this. I have a stupid question. I know McMinn Central is AA but did Molly play on a class A team for that middle school championship year? My daughters played for South Fulton in a championship game that same year and played against a girl named Molly that was really good.

South Fulton beats Greenfield for the first time in 10 years to win the shared 13A reg title tonight. District tournament starts next week at UTM. Should be a good one. These 4 teams battle it out ever game

I’m fairly new to the playoff settings but with a loser in the regionals playing the winner in the next region seems to make for more competitive games at state. Region 7 in 1A was strong last year so they took out the weaker region 8 winner and made the final 4. I like the idea of the stronger teams there. Just my opinion.

McKenzie 53 Gleason 41 This was actually a closer game than the score shows. Gleason really held their own. Good effort by Gleason. McKenzie did what good teams do. Managed the clock at the end and hit their free throws

Yeah. That was an error. I meant Greenfield. I don’t know where I got Gleason.

Thanks. I think they have a decent chance to make it to the Boro. Their size will probably hurt them eventually. We will see. No seniors on the team. Hopefully they’ll get a little bigger by next year. Especially my 2 girls. Good luck on the rest of your season.

Congrats Gibson County. Tournament Champs

Just saw the scoring by quarters. It was 25-18 at the half with her. I didn’t see her play tonight. She may have had an off night. I’ve seen her play a couple times this year. She is unbelievable. Watched GC shoot the lights out last night but I heard they struggled some the first half tonight. It happens to the best of them sometimes.

The 8th grader? That explains why USJ was held to 31. Seems like a lot of teams depend on 1 or 2 to score to much.

Scrappy SF takes down USJ 50-31. Should be a good game tomorrow.

It’s just on paper (stats/facts). Those of us in West Tn still know McKenzie is the team to beat especially if Davis come back

That was a good match up. Both teams should learn from that game.

Final. Lipscomb Academy - 52 South Fulton - 46 Great game. It went back and forth the entire game. SF had a decent lead in the 4th period but couldn’t hold it. LA managed to come back. Both fought hard. Good first game at USJ

Peabody gets beat by a 3A team that South Fulton beat 2 days before by 24. Looks to be a good fight for that region as well.
