I agree he did a great job, especially with a few kids growing up in Alcoa and still living on that border and getting them to stay. Had Brang not had gotten hurt his senior year, I think Duncan could've got himself a championship that year. Talent was crazy that year with Brang and EY. Duncan didn't leave the program high and dry like some people are saying. It was his time. He gave everything to multiple programs and wanted to be around his grandchildren more. I believe he lives in Cookeville now where is son in law is coaching at Cookeville High.

They should remain 3A since they will be going back to closed zoned. LC mainly drew from SC and Beech. It caused both Beech and SC to drop divisions. A school should have been built to relieve pressure from Gallatin, however Gallatin hardly lost any students. They county should have created a elementary and middle school to begin with then a high school later on. Both the elementary and middle school are overcrowded and you have 60-80+ kids trying out for teams with 15 roster spots. They are having to create city rec teams under the Liberty Creek name just to have more kids on their "sports teams."

And it was 13-3 at half and SC had 6 starters out. Second half gameplan went out the window when SC RB got hurt. I'm just saying there are ways to compete with Pearl and the first half last Friday showed that, Pearl was just too much in the second half.

Station Camp fan here.. I think SC gave Marshall the blueprint on how to compete with Pearl this year. Slow the game down and force them to make mistakes. However, I don't think Marshall will use it. I don't see a thread for the game last Friday but it was a wild one for a little bit. I believe at one point Pearl had a 1st & 50 on legit penalties. Pearl has got to clean up the mistakes but I think even with mistakes Pearl will still come out on top.

East gets the win but not by a lot. Liberty has had a good year but this will be the only year it lasts. Big senior class leaving and and their open zone is now over. And I believe the price of housing in zone is averaging $500,000. Rager (QB) has had a phenomenal year and should have been a Mr. Football finalist. LC would not be where they are without him. I believe their starting QB for next year is a kid only on his second year of football ever.

Great game all around. I’m not sure what area those refs came from, but they don’t deserve to call another game until they’ve received a lot more training and development. Worst I’ve seen in a while but still ending up being a good game.

Station Camp's QB should be back and ready to go. South Gibson will have their hands full preparing for SCs QB in the pass and run game. I got Station Camp winning this one.

The meeting started at 9:00 AM CST. Been going on about two hours and still no word. A lot of Lipscomb players and families are standing outside the central office.

I don't have a score prediction other than it being a high scoring game and I believe MJ will take it. Comes down to which defense steps up. Station Camp rushed for 353 yards and 6 TDs against Gallatin. We played against Crudup last year and I think he can have a career night against Gallatin. I believe Trey Perry will do close to what SC did on offense by running tempo and getting Gallatin tired.

We can all agree the refs were horrendous. The first onside was called offsides, the second call was the ball did not go 10 yards when the kicker recovered the ball at 11 yards. In terms of physicality, I look at numbers and SC had 169 more yards of offense. SC also had only one player cramp all night while it seemed as though Gallatin's trainer ran a marathon Friday night the amount of times Gallatin defensive players were down on the field. If you have the ability to look at the film then go look at the 3rd and 4th quarter, because Trey Perry at MJ will and he will be grinning watching how tired Gallatin players are in the second half. Only reason SC lost the game was because of turnovers. I'll give Gallatin's offense credit, they can get the job done but anyone on your schedule with a half decent offense is going to put up a lot of points on your defense.

My thoughts on the game.. I do not believe Gallatin was more physical. If not for a couple big pass plays that game was much different. Station Camp rushed for 353 yards and Gallatin had 109. Station Camp passed for 173 and Gallatin for 248. I believe that rushing number shows who was more physical. I've heard a lot of Gallatin fans this weekend say if not for the muffed punt that game would have been way different. That game would have been way different had two onside kicks called back for SC as well as two pass interference calls all made by the same referee. Everyone in that stadium knew both of those onsides were clean, heck after the second one the ref was spotting the ball before he even threw the flag. But Station Camp still had a chance to win the game and had it gone into overtime it would have happened, but enjoy the win Gallatin. It was a great game still with a great crowd. I thought the game would never end. Station Camp will now get ready for region play in 4a, have to travel to Marshall County this week. But Pearl will be the team everyone is going to be chasing after an impressive win over CPA and MBA.

Station Camp will beat Beech tonight.

I'm very interested to how many stadiums get shut down today. Beech's were in great shape compared to a lot of schools in Sumner County..

Didn't Wilson County raise tax on alcohol and tobacco and give everyone a field house? Nobody had issues with Green Hill then. I could be absolutely wrong on that. Sumner County residents can afford a small increase of tax on alcohol and tobacco. But @eers is correct.. a nice school could have been built with leftover money given to other schools. So many unnecessary purchases were made in building that school and somehow ran out of money and couldn't do the turf field.

The worst is the entitled Liberty Creek parents who truly don't understand why they get so much hate and say other schools are just "jealous of what they have done." No one is jealous. People are pissed off the county decided to purchase a flight simulator and a $20,000 metal sign of a wolf (amongst other things) while some coaches and quarterback clubs in this county are having to pay out of pocket to get running water to their game field. The storm back in spring that tore down a lot of baseball fences in Sumner County.. Liberty Creek got theirs fixed the same week, Station Camp's is still down.

I believe Station Camp's are in good shape, but I thought Beech's were too before this morning. SC just has some broken ones from the 2014 era on the visitor side that cannot get fixed. SC has been trying to get the county to fix their sprinkler system on the field for years. Also have been having water issues in locker room for a long time. That's not saying much though since every school in Sumner County has their own issues with the board of education. I remember two years ago when Nolensville played at SC a Nolensville coach said "they really need to put more money into their facilities." You're preaching to the choir buddy. But don't worry.. Liberty Creek got their jamboree win against Portland on their college campus and will get embarrassed by East Robertson this week.

This game is a toss up for me. I have no idea how White House is this year but if they tied Davidson in their scrimmage like some people said then I say they will beat Portland. Portland definitely has the look with their size when they get off the bus but you quickly see they are not very physical.

First play against Clarksville the other night looked like Clarksville QB kept midline and took it to the house. Hendersonville does love them some midline. Hendersonville has everything put together more right now. My prediction is 35-14 Hendersonville.

Engineer is assessing the home bleachers tomorrow morning. Sumner County maintenance team is on site today prepping to remove the visitor side bleachers and their plan is to install temporary bleachers in time for Friday's game. Everyone will know Thursday if the game will happen at Beech or if it will be played at another site. Middle school game was supposed to happen at Beech tonight and it has been moved. If Sumner County gets this all done by Friday it will be the fastest they have completed any project in decades.

Interested to see if this game gets moved to Station Camp now. Surely inspections have to be done to the home side as well.

Should be a great game with a packed house like you said. Such a long rivalry, I love them having this game week 1. I think Gallatin has only had one preseason scrimmage against Rockvale and have their jamboree tonight. Heard Gallatin showed glimpses at times of what they could be against Rockvale but I think it'll take most of the first season for them to put everything together. I believe HHS will pull the win out from just being more experienced.

Hendersonville's offense is going to be very good. They're going to score points. Hendersonville's downfall is always their defense. In the past ten years they have made it to the state championship game and have had many deep playoff runs but their defense is always holding them back. Beech, HHS, and HC are definitely top three in region but I won't even put them in an order cause I really think it'll come down to injuries and what games will be played where.

I believe SC will surprise people after Week 1 against Beech

Station Camp played Green Hill on Tuesday. I believe with starters it was tied 3-3. Green Hill definitely has some size but their run game was not there. (I don't believe the Mattingly kid played) Although Station Camp's defense looks like the real deal this year. Got some LBs out there making a ton of plays. Station Camp scored on a couple of long passes and long runs. Only play that really got SC was a tunnel screen from GH that they ran numerous times. They are definitely not giving their QB a ton of passing opportunities like they did last year. Defensively GH liked to roll the safeties down in the box and play man on the outside. I think GH has finally stopped getting a ton of new kids also. Their freshman team only had about 35 players and were not very good.
