Coming from a Haywood fan. We have a hard time getting a competitive schedule simply because nobody will play us. A lot of schools in the west would rather play a weaker regular season to get wins than play teams that will make you better for playoff runs. Very frustrating!

I wish west Tn teams had this same mentality

I wish there was more interest in this thread. I think this is a serious issue with tssaa football. The other sports are fine. Football is where tssaa makes their most money, and that why they have it the way they do. I wish someone would stand up to them and address the issues!

This is what I have been saying for awhile. Money hungry tssaa will not go for it though

I believe reducing classes would not only help make playoff games more competitive but it would also make regions more even. Instead of having some regions with 5 teams and some regions with 8 it would even out most regions. It would also cut down on travel by most teams. Also it would help out with scheduling non region games. Some teams especially in smaller regions have a hard team fielding a competitive schedule. Smaller classes I would assume equal larger regions which would mean fewer non regional games. I also think the way it is now to many teams make the playoffs. With our current format I think only 2 teams from each region should go to the playoffs.

Good question for our school board and county commissioners!

High school is just like college, more money in football. Money hungry tssaa is getting all they can get. IMO there are to many classes in football. Some regions have 8 teams some regions have 5 teams. Makes scheduling darn near impossible for some teams!

What kind of offense can we expect to see PC run? I am assuming it will be similar to what Haywood runs. Uptempo good mix of run vs pass. Is their qb a dual threat? Can he throw it?
