Sorry PapaTiger??¦but I can??™t find anybody in Bolivar familiar with Waverly??™s request. The only request that people I??™ve talked to know about is Bolivar??™s request to change the time Saturday. I think something has been blown way out of proportion.
Dang...I live here in Bolivar and that makes me mad. I thought the schedule was set by TSSAA rule, but seeing that Harpeth could arrange it that means we could to (Bolivar). Does anyone know who at Bolivar would not go along with this?
I saw them play against Bolivar and they have plenty of size, speed and athleticism??¦IMO they are not overrated. The day they played Bolivar was first day they had their football players back and only lost by 2. In the end, Mitchell will be Mitchell.
Hey toinemac...According to they play tonight at 7:30. I hope Bolivar works on taking care of the football this week. Offense looked good at times, but still seems to be lacking that knock-out punch.
In case you have not heard, FW lost their starting QB Friday due to an injury in the Bolivar game. It's a big loss for FW because he's a great athlete. Look for Coach Thompson to find some new ways to get the ball in Bonner's hands.
No...not the QB. I hate to see any player get hurt. Especially with what happened to him. I'm talking about the player who got ran over by Cordell like a limp rag doll. The guy who needs to learn how to tackle, especially someone who outweights you by 100 pounds. You're #1inthegame...I bet you know who it is. But, to give him credit, he did get up without injury. He didn't make the tackle...but he did get up.
One thing I was really surprised about with Fayette Ware was their defensive line was not as strong as I expected. Prior to the Bolivar game I heard they had a strong DL but Bolivar ran right at them with success. Lexington will capitalize on this.
Lexington 28
Fayette Ware 20
It's mighty big of you to say that...I respect that. Thanks. This match up has turned into good riverly between these two teams. I haven't seen the kind of hitting I saw last night in a long time. Both teams were really going at it. There were still plenty of mistakes from both sides that will hurt you when you're playing high caliber teams. Both teams have improved a lot from last year, but still a ways to go.
The 5 teams Fayette Ware have beaten have a combined record of 8 wins and 28 losses...sounds fairly even to me. I wouldn't get those roundballs out too quick.
Yeah...I was at the Lexington game and I know what you're talking about. You wonder what (if anything) is going through that head of his. I believe Crocket County will recognize the fact that Bolivar has talent...but this one will get out of hand early.
I listened to this game on the radio and Bolivar stepped up huge defensively against Hardin Co. The good news for Bolivar is that they are loaded with talented juniors, very few starting seniors if any...so the best days are ahead of them. I believe before the year is over there will be more surprises like this from Bolivar.
