Scotts Hill has made a good decision in hiring Renard Woodmore to be their new head coach. The Lions have not had good luck with the two successors to Michael Stroup. Ironically, Woodmore and Stroup worked together as assistants at Adamsville. Coach Woodmore has been the main assistant for the Cardinals during their outstanding success in the last few years. He was their defensive coordinator. The head baseball coach of the Cardinals, it is unclear whether he will coach the Cardinals in the spring.

9oldschool5, you must be a valedictorian of a former Henderson High class. Chester won the girls' game with the help of one bad official. The fact the assigning officer of the officials is married to the Chester coach does seem to be a conflict of interest to most intelligent people. The boys game was a laugher. Has your team got to 40 points yet? That would make your boys' team record against the real blue team around 17-83 give or take a few. Our girls golf team went to the state tournament. Don't recall seeing CCHS there with us. Our softball team finished second in the state. Our baseball team won the district title. Give the Eagles credit because they beat McNairy in football. I bet it stings when your coach leaves for Fayette-Ware. He must think Fayette-Ware is a better football school.

Peabody's Mickey Marley. Big surprise to see Hodum leave for Fayette-Ware. It will be interesting to hear the real reasons he has left Henderson. Problems with getting players eligible may have been an issue between the coach and administration.

Good to see the Jackson Sun recognize Coach Stacy Riley for a good first part of this season. Not many felt the Bobcats would get going with a rookie high school coach.

9oldschool5, I hope you do not paid for your basketball opinions. State champions get away from many coaches, but that does not hurt their career. Try to think how long it takes to get 800 wins - 40 years of winning 20 games a season. Your red and blue thoughts are comical. If you do not think it is important for Adamsville to beat McNairy Central in anything, you must live in upper Northwest Tennessee.

If you think UC did not recruit those players you are naive. UC operates like a college and only lets in the players they want to keep their enrollment at the right amount.

Classic high school football between proud programs. These teams give the fans a thrill every time they play.

The last time you threatened someone did not turn out too well for you. So, I would be careful with my language.

Coach Lott had three teams that were legit state championship teams. His first team was only team to beat Chester Co. (AA champ) and Bolivar (AAA champ). Team had problems over homecoming and half the team quit with one game left in the regular season. Around '92, team would have been top contender, but best player was lost to academics. In 2007, team lost one of best players to a knee injury, and another player missed most of season to a health reason. Lott has bad luck in the post-season.

There are about 7-8 real college players on that list. Let's don't try to make it like MCHS was the old Shelbyville. How many on McNairy's list were Division One players?

How many 800 win coaches can you name without looking through Google? Lott would have won a state in 2007 if his star player had not missed most of the season for health reasons and the third best player was lost to a knee injury. The star player he missed went to win NAIA National Player of the Year.

BullShark, what does the quality of the team have to do with how good a player that Khyla Wade Warren is now? She is a good player regardless of the team's success.

Coach Forsythe was gone as coach before he made the mistake. He lost his coaching job when he cut players by text and the losing seasons.

Browder (Browser) left for $90,000 to coach on the beach. The Bobcats have no winning seasons since Browder left MC. We need the Buddy System to have their own booster club. When I eat supper with Franks, I will bring it up.

Besides Woodmoore, list the AHS assistants in terms of importance. Coach Hopper is clearly a good line coach.

The church recruiting was true. The player is on the Bobcats team now. If you want to find out the truth, ask his father. His daddy has impeccable integrity.

There is a school board member that has a personal problem with Coach Lott. There are other parents that had their children cut that do not like him. He is the best coach MCHS will ever have and some people are blind to it. I may not like Nick Saban, but he can coach. Some can't be fair in their objectivity of a coach.

You have to say Brandon Gray is one of the best coaches in the state. If he did not love Adamsville so much, he could have already gotten a larger job. The Cardinals stumbled out of the gate and it seems the installation of Knight has been the right move for this team. Collin Misenheimer appears to be one of the best QBs in the area. Gray took what Tommy Browder started at AHS and built a powerhouse. Total respect for Gray.
