  2. THE power ratings have the dawgs a slight favorite on the road. Simulation has them winning a series 4-3. Very little variance between these two. Not sure how to add the screenshot but here's a link to the Massey simulation. Bearden at JC
  3. Rumor mill is that a couple of key guys at Pal are banged up this week going into Dollywood
  4. Fun rematch in BC this week. Not sure anyone is as hot as BC right now. But of course, Maryville has the pedigree and looked great last week and getting healthier. This will be won by either team in a close game or Bradley wins going away with their athletes. Not sure who will win but what I do know is that whoever loses... WILL BE SIPPIN' ON MOTHBALL SOUP NEXT WEEK #MOTHBALLS #PA #BIGBOYFOOTBALL #MISSYOUPASSY
  5. Love the list.. good matchups this week. Like the good old days when you only qualified by winning or finishing 2nd in your district. No blowouts this time like last week, I think there were only 2 games decided by fewer than 21 points in 5A round one. That's what you get when 2-8 and 3-7 teams qualify these days
  6. All of 5A in the east bracket runs through Dolly's House
  7. 1986 was the last time Maryville lost to the same team twice in a season... and that was to Leroy Thompson and AE
  8. weigel's at dollywood... sound off on this 5A matchup
  9. JC will have the home crowd advantage. Sounds like they packed the dumplins in the valley tonight where as bearden and DB played in front of 450 spectators.
  10. the top hat vs the schmedium shirt. let's sound off...
  11. ahhhh I don't think I knew there were 5 teams in the TC that were 5A/6A
  12. Shut this thread down! Quit infringing upon the OFFICIAL game thread... littull rebulls verses Brad Lee
  13. It'll be interesting to see how this game plays out. I get the sense that some think that Bradley and Bearden are on equal footing above the rest of the teams in this bracket but I don't buy it. I think Bearden is closer to Maryville, Cleveland, and even Farragut than they are to Bradley. I think if the Bulldogs do happen to see the Bears again it'll be because they played lights out to beat D-B and Jeff County next week in Dumplin Valley. I could see this game being closer than most people think. D-B historically has been able to rebound from the Science Hill game better than the Hilltoppers do when it comes to opening round playoff games.
  14. This database says they won at Smyrna in 2016 before losing at Maryville in the second round. DB is 2-12 in playoff road games since 2000.
  15. 9 opponents in the playoffs. 6 hosting a playoff game this week. 4 region champions.
  16. Yes, make the BHS QB a part of the gameplan and the Indians will win.
  17. Saraland (AL) is on the Lipscomb schedule, they may be the best team mentioned on this entire thread. The Spartans won the AL State Championship last year with a LOADED sophomore class led by Ryan Williams. He scored 39 total TDs last fall as a WR and all-purpose player. Kid has been committed to Bama since his freshman year. The QB is also a 2025 graduate threw for 3200 yards and 40 TDs last year.
  18. Good pickup for Beech
  19. BigTime I can tell you're an older follower of Knox Co football but some of the names don't ring a bell from the Farragut perspective. Of course Hartsell came over in 1989 to help FHS win a district title along with Jason Price and Adam Priest. But Hartsell set a pipe bomb off in a locker that spring that got him in serious trouble. The other names, Gray? Washington's? must have been from way back in the day because I go back to 1974 but I don't know everything. The trivia question would be referring to the Chris Morrison kid back in the mid 90s, but he wouldn't have scored the winning TD as a sophomore in 1994 when FHS won 23-7 in a game they never trailed. He moved to Bearden the next year and beat FHS as a senior when BHS won 12-8.
