I am looking forward to this game. The Warriors will definately have to play their best game to date! HIxson will score and Marion will have to play 4 quarters to win. So I am going to say this will be a shoot out with Marion coming out on top 32 to 28. As always, Go Warriors!

OP, I enjoy these Rose Colored Glasses I got! I got mine @ Hammers, 3 pr for a dollar! Now thats a deal right there! But as for this years team, even with my glasses on, I still see many weaknesses that can be exploited on the field. There is one huge difference with this team from teams the past 2 or 3 yrs, Heart! To date this team has found a way to stay in the game! When the other team has made a play, they have answered! They have made something happen. In the end, they have found away to get the W! The stands are starting to fill up again @ Bill Baxter Stadium and thats a positive! Oh I almost forgot, I seen quite a few of the Orange and Black in Hammers getting in on the great Rose colored Sun Glass Deal! From what I have been seeing, (without my glasses) the stable is starting to empty! Go Warriors! Lets get win # 4!!

Will Marion get win #4 against Hixson? Thoughts?

No Rose colored glasses here OP. I do think Marion can be 4 and 0 when they travel to SP, and I also agree that their confidence level will be up if this happens. Who knows what can happen then?? I remember a highly favored SP team in 1980 who lost to a less athletic Marion team, 7 to 6! But as for this week, I look for this Marion team to come out and make less mistakes agianst the Whitwell team. If so this could be the break out game for the Warriors! I hope and think Marion will get a few back this week. Go Warriors!

What a great night for football last night was! For a Marion team who is very young, I was impressed with the attitude and hustle they played with tonight. Trailing Bledsoe for 3 quarters and refusing to give up, this group of young men played like there was no tomorrow. It was also great to see a good vocal traveling crowd! Teamwork and Unitity, two things I seen tonight that I haven't seen at Marion since the 08 team. Keep working hard Marion, one game at a time. Don't look past anyone, and at the end of this season, you will have something to be proud of. Go Warriors!

Careful RLH, your starting to show your age. That 1980 team was very good and I believe that bad luck came in the color Purple! (7 to 6) Till this day one of the largest and more vocal crowds I have witnessed at Beene Stadium.

Well tomorrow night we will get a chance to see how well these Young Warriors can play together for 4 quarters. I really don't know what to expect. I hope they are ready to play. If we tackle like we did in the jamboree, it could be a long night. But if old "Mo" gets on our side, look out! This team is capable of playing well together but they are very young. I hope for an injury free game tomorrow night and as always........... GO WARRIORS!!!!!!!!!

I've never been a stranger on the T wingman, I have just sat back and read the last couple of years. This team will be better, but keep in mind they are young. There will be many sophomores & freshmen playing on this years team. How fast this team can mature will be critical to their achievement. Honestly, with this schedule this years team does have a shot at winning 7 or so regular season games and we all know winning builds confidence and confidence brings wins in close games.

Well its Friday, Wk 1 of the playoffs. I haven't posted much this year, but I have watched my team practice and play all year. Yes it has been a struggle this year but I have observed many positives to go along with the negatives. Many of the players that started this season decided along the way that football wasn't there sport and moved on for whatever reasons. At times, this team has played well for a quarter or a half but have yet to put a full game together. Practice has been upbeat this week. This team is as loose as I have seen them this year. Many of these players have finally started to step up and play. I will be there tonight and I hope this FC team is as good as their record. because if it was a soft schedule, don't be surprised if Marion comes in and steals one tonight. As always, MCRoadWarrior backs his alma mater and this coaching staff! Go Warriors!

Hopefully Marion can continue to improve. In order for the Warriors to have a chance in this game they will have to win the turnover game. It's senior night at Marion, so Go Warriors!!!!

Bratt, Indian, Ole MCRoadWarrior is still here reading almost everyday. Honestly I just haven't had a lot to post about lately. This is a very young team. Marion has some good young talent with potential, but I think they will need some help to win tonight. But who knows it happened last week and maybe it will happen this week!?!? With each win it will build more confidence as the year goes on. I guess I will go back into hibernation now as Indian says. I hope for a safe game for both sides tonight and as always.........Go Warriors!!!

He was closest to the action also! Maybe some of these refs should be reprimanded also! Not much action on there part to contain this accept for the 10 yellow flags that rained down on the first two players!!!

Well last night was great Football Weather. Cold and a rainy mist. Honestly, it is hard for me to ever give any props to Whitwell, but I will give credit where I feel credit is due. This is the best talent I have seen them have in a while, but like Marion lacking in leadership. As for Marion, time is running out and if the Warriors want to make a run, this group is going to have to step up and quit making mistakes. But at least we got the win last night. Marion will have to play flawless to beat Boyd. As for the scuffle it was uncalled for. Football is a contact sport and to play your best you have to be willing to give your best effort every play for the good of the team! As for contact after the play, it only brings attention to ones self, So what I am saying is a fight after a play may get you remembered for a week or even a year, but harness your energy and give a 100% every play for the good of your team, will get you and the rest of your team remembered for life! What a way to finish the regular season. It a shame ether team had to lose. Both teams played hard! Congrats to all those Fence Jumpers. Even though you all started at different schools, (Guyear - Grundy, Martin - Sequatchie County, Hargis, Brocks, and Henagar - South Pittsburg, Bailey - Whitwell, and Casaday - Lookout Valley), Its good to know you all wanted to finish at Marion! Congrats Warriors! 1-0 in the Pitt. Now lets focus on the District.

77-68 was the final. We looked a little tight and shot terrible from the free throw line. Something like 3 for 13. We play Marion Kentucky tomorrow. Hopefully we will play better after a good night of rest.

I wonder if the Duck Call Choir have their calls tuned up for tonight?
