  1. No stroke going on here . . . I jump up and down too much for that occur, 2P. You already know that. But who are those Cats? I still don't know. Frustrating! You don't even raise my pulse rate. I have far too many other things to concern myself with than a person OCDing over high school sports. And with my ONE id, I will continue to post when I find the time or the desire to post. Poor bdogg . . . gets all the bad press from a person who thinks he knows all the facts. Too bad, 2P, you don't even know me. Otherwise, we may find ourselves way more alike than you know. Other than, of course, I am too busy to spend all my time on here. LOD knows. Riverdaleman knows. Heck, even the kids know my heart. That's why I am still right there "cheering" on my Warriors. You, however, might want to meet me sometime. If, in fact, you're interested. Can you take off that mask long enough to do that? The offer has been there from so many, now it's here from me. Too bad we've already played each other. That would have been a great meeting place. There is post-season. . . you probably won't be busy.
  2. What? Are you joking? You post last night, the year 1440, yesterday, tomorrow morning at 5:43. 2P . . . when don't you post? CoachT is your life. Every topic. Every day. Every hour. Every minute. I am not certain Riverdale will ever win another state championship or even beat Oakland in another Battle. I am not certain that Oakland will beat Siegel or that Smyrna will beat LaVergne. I am not certain of most things. But I am certain that . . . no matter how many months I choose to find better things to do than post. . . that you will be here spending most of your time giving your opinion on CoachT and talking of some things that you have absolutely no idea about. That I am certain of!
  3. I am a tad bit worried myself. The wins are obviously the first thing, and we've managed to do that 100% of the time, but I'd like to see domination again. Our biggest games are toward the bottom of our schedule . . . from Dickson County (who is much better this year) through LaVergne, our toughest games are in the last 5 weeks not the first 5. Our o-line has to vastly improve so that our scoring is more than 13 points. And we're gonna need all extra points and field goals! No doubt. We're headed into the final weeks playing offenses that can really produce. Riverdale is going to have to do the same. I realize the old saying that "defenses win ballgames," but the offense has to be able to produce, as well. Go Coach A . . . Go! And Go Warriors. To heck with shuts outs, just keep the wins rolling. In the end, that's all that anyone remembers anyway. . . who beat who! To Josh, you played a terrific game. I've already told you that. I am proud that your hard work and you watching others from the side has finally paid off. I am proud of you, kid!
  4. mt juliet in 1995 at mtsu and lebanon in 1993 at mtsu...scores 13-10 and 6-0, respectively
  5. Coach A & Wyant are good guys. Wyant's time was up at Riverdale. Coach A has respect for Wyant and understands his move to Smyrna. He offered him to stay, but Wyant knew it was time to move on. He's stepped in at Smyrna very well and will be a part of their success this year and years to come. Hopefully, Coach A will continue the tradition at Riverdale. The legacy that was built there is a HUGE burden. Coach A will have to step up and keep the ball rolling (and the gold balls coming). He has what it takes. He'll have to build his coaching staff back up, but I believe he can. Fan support can help. So, it's time to support the Warriors again! I wish them both the best, but obiously I hope Smyrna & Wyant goes home disappointed when the two play.
  6. Question for you, all-knowing, ominpotent 2P . . . who or what are the Cats? There you go again, thinking you know something you have NO idea about.
  7. 2P . . . you're an idiot hiding behind a name acting as though you know people. You don't know him. You don't know his wife. You don't know how your harsh words hurt people and sadly enough, the 4 kids who live with a man and read your crap on this message board. You act as though the "kids" are the programs, the "kids" are what it's all about. Well, those "kids" are effected by hearing what you have to say about stuff you have no idea about. Wyant ISN'T Bdogg. Bdogg has told you that. But your know-it-all attitude gets you again. Secondly, this job was offered to him last fall BEFORE Riverdale beat Smyrna 49-0. I don't know how anyone with your God-like abilities didn't know that . . . wow, you're getting a little rusty! Why don't you find something just a little bit more productive than spending hours on a computer hurting and disrespecting people you simply don't know. His "clipboard" has more class than you do! Get some!
  8. Delta Beta Sigma Sorority held their formal presentation on the same night our girls took the gold ball home. 4 of the girls dressed in formals were varsity cheerleaders who had been given this date as their formal months ago. They left the formal immediately after presentation missing the dance afterwards. They knew where their hearts were . . . with the class-act Lady Warriors bringing home their first state championship to Riverdale High School. Congratulations girls. You deserved every minute of their glory! As the sign read . . . you lived the Dream!
  9. Anyone ever noticed that the success of EVERY other team in this county is always based on the success of Riverdale? Go make your own record. Go build your own success story. "Cause from what I see you feel in order to be successful you "gotta get the Warriors." Last time I checked, in this county that's only ever happened with Oakland. And that was six years ago, people!
  10. Thanks 2P for reminding me when to shut up. I'm just not used to that losing thing. I can take it from you since you're a middle tennessee guy. I'll shut up now. Not all Riverdale guys feel the way I do. Good game. I will miss high school football. It's a long 9 months to wait! See you in 2006
  11. Very much a possibility! I experienced, first hand, the classless acts of Oak Ridge fans as I was exiting the game last Friday night. I congratulated some of the cheerleaders and many of your adult fans who made smart comments to me and the kids I was with. I will make no excuse for our lack of playing last Friday night. We got beaten fair and square. No doubt. Your very classless fans, however, couldn't accept a sincere congrats! With the way we played last Friday night, it's a good possibility Ravenwood would have shut us out, as well. However, Oak Ridge played them. They got beaten, and this very "classless" Riverdale fan was rooting on the other "RHS" all the way!
  12. Possibly. I experienced, first hand, the lack of class on the Oak Ridge side when I was leaving the game attempting to congratulate cheerleaders and adult fans who had nothing but smart comments to make about your shut out. It was a shut out, indeed. I make no excuses for the lack of plays that the Warriors made. Actually, through my misery, I was happy for a team that had lost in years past, battled through Friday night, and had beaten us fair and square. So, the classless act of your fans floored me! It gave me every reason to put some extra heart out for the other "RHS." Given the game we played last Friday night, there's a very large possibility Ravenwood would have also shut us out. However, we weren't there to play them. Oak Ridge was. And this "classless" Riverdale fan was rooting them on all the way.

  14. hmmmm . . . I wonder what side you were cheering for tonight?
  15. Quiet on the Oak Ridge side? Guess that Dark Side was awful lightened up this evening. After last week, I can tell you first hand that losing stinks! I hope the silver ball is a reminder of the same thing that our guys felt all week long. . . you can be beaten. Ravenwood proved that tonightl.
  16. I will NOT say one negative thing about the current state champions. We didn't bring our A game to Oak Ridge. They beat us. But they still couldn't handle Middle Tennessee ball completely. Congratulations to the fans of Williamson County Ball ... especially to Ravenwood.
  17. From a true Riverdale fan, THANK YOU RAVENWOOD! You truly are state champions in every sense of the word. For Oak Ridge, deal with the silver ball. Ravenwood High School deserves every bit of the gold ball. Maybe it's just cheering for RHS that makes me thrilled!
  18. This is a Rankin debate, which I am sure why the whole thing with recruiting came up. As a RHS fan, I am so sick of the recruiting issue. Why can't EVERYONE see that a parent would like to see their child attend the school with the premier athletic program of their choice. Suppose a D1 prospect will get much of a look at Blackman? It's stupid to even argue. It's why many moved into the Shelbyville zone if their daughter's college basketball career needed a possible look. If you can get them into the zone, why not make every attempt to do that. If over the past decade Rankin didn't get in deep TSSAA trouble for recruiting violations . . . maybe the obvious "then" would be that he didn't recruit. Quit whining! Maybe Rankin is just good. Heaven help us if the population at large gave him the credit he and his staff are due.
  19. We gave you Forrest . . . come on, wasn't that an even trade.
  20. Oh yeah, I saw it. But remember we had done that prior to the game. Oak Ridge showed up and played a game that the offensive Warriors never really came to play. When those guys came through that sign, we had owned the semi final game. As a matter of fact EVERYONE (up to that point) that we had been in. But the better of the two teams in this year's semifinal game won. Gosh, it hurts to say that!
  21. Don't tell anyone from Riverdale that the opening of Blackman didn't hurt. It was ridiculous! Open zone to Blackman but closed zone to Riverdale. Anyone could go to Blackman . . . Riverdale or Oakland zone. But if you were zoned to Blackman, you had to go. It hurt us far beyond the football field. Our former principal led the beginnings of a bitter rivalry because the students at Blackman were obviously "more important" than those left behind at Riverdale. We lost freshmen who wanted to stay at Riverdale but couldn't because they were told they had to leave the school they had started their high school career. And we lost sophomores and juniors who were promised the moon but didn't get even close to it. It wasn't just a football issue. It was an academic issue. A school issue. A Warrior issue. Man, don't get me started. As far as the whole football issue, when Blackman had no more of Riverdale's athletes and coaches, they couldn't pull off a winning season. For three years now, they've played 10 regular season games. Can't get beyond that. They tried like heck to pull off two post season runs with our guys. But Rankin and his boys stopped it. That's the bottom line! I am not doubting the hurt that Siegel put on Oakland but don't take away from the fact that a nasty rivalry got started because the "big guys" at the top didn't open both Blackman and Siegel the right way. The way that Ravenwood was opened is the way to do it. Leave other school alone. Get your own teachers, your own coaches, and your own athletes. EARN YOUR RECORDS. MAKE YOUR OWN DIFFERENCE. Blackman didn't do that. It's a real bad taste as you can tell every year on the football field.
  22. No doubt about our #2 ! Kit Hartsfield is as incredible person as he is football player. He played with so much heart but that's what kind of character he has. Kit is, for sure, a difference maker. Last night, however, the difference makers at Oak Ridge were better. Nonetheless, give credit where credit is due. Kit Hartsfield is a true Warrior.
  23. Rankin is not smug or cocky. Honestly, he is a little shy . . . believe it or not. Not much for confrontations. Just a good coach. You don't have to like him . . . as many don't . . . but that just comes out of being hated for doing such a good job. Riverdale doesn't produce many D1 players. For a team that is so consistent in 5A ball, that speaks pretty highly of his coaching. Whether he stays or goes, he has been a leader for the Warriors. He's not only coached the boys well for many years now, he's hired the right assistant coaches and led them. All Warrior fans should be forever grateful for what Rankin has done at Riverdale.
