  1. Anyone know where the Semi-final matchup will be played? Is it based upon seed or coin flip?
  2. I watched Camden play last Saturday against Milan. Camden won by 15 or 16 points. Milan has several main players still playing football so hard to judge by the score but Camden will be a force in the district I do believe. Read in paper today that Culp scored 32 last night against Huntingdon. He is a solid threat of scoring 25 plus a night. They have the Hudson kid who is very athletic and around 6'4 range playing the wing/post. The two small guards out front should be familiar to most since they were the stars of the football team. Not really basketball athletes but incredibly quick and make many things happen. I honestly can see them winning this district if matchups fall into place.
  3. Waverly lost to Camden. So they cant be that talented. Well at least as good as concerned22 makes them out to be.
  4. Goodpasture wins 4-3. Certainly two best teams in state. Played 3 games of perfect ball. Both were worthy of the crown. Congrats to both teams on an amazing season...
  5. Game tied 2-2 heading into top of 7th. Camden's Amanda Brandenburg just hit a solo shot to tie the game in the 6th.
  6. Camden wins 2-1 in 11th inning. An amazing game.... can these two teams be any more equal. 21 innings in two nights. GO LIONS
  7. Bolivar will win due to the fact of experience in big games plus inside presence on Chism. If he gets in foul trouble though, anything can happen. If Lipscomb controls the clock could be close. Ill say Bolivar 72 Lipscomb 50. Close but Bolivar overpowers them in the end for the victory
  8. I have been hearing a lot lately about the Slater kid. Is he the real deal? I have not had the chance to see him before but many people have talked about him here so just curious. Will he be able to slow Willie down enough to get the W monday?
  9. Ok this might not ever happen but what have been some of the biggest upsets in recent memory? High school level only....
  10. These posts are almost commical. Everyone always has the answers sitting in the crowd. Give me a break. Lets look at a few of your genius remarks. First rcombs....sure the junior high teams have gone undefeated. AGAINST teams like henry and lakewood. im pretty sure they have the talents of bolivar and liberty. sure the coaching hasnt been the most inspiring the past few years but that could also be put back on the administration. For the past 8 years the coach hasnt even had a true assistant. are you kidding me? you go to a football game on friday night and they have 12 coaches run all over the place. they finally hired a young and inspired coach to become the assistant this year, so things are looking up. another great comment one of yall made was about the athletes in the school. true there are some athletes walking around the school, but many are being told that by concentrating on one sport they will be better. again give me a break. if these kids are such great athelets why cant they do both. Patrick Willis, all-american at ole miss, yeah he played basketball all four years. Chris Donald, yep he plays both. so you cant tell me that these kids should only concentrate on one. as for you lionman, ballhawk actually made a great outside opionin. but oh yeah im sure you probably know more about the problems surrounding this years team. as for the comments from lions4ever....yeah those 2 kids did quit. and they have all already expressed how wrong they were and begged to be put back on. oh yeah and one more thing...the stand up and show your lion pride thing....how about you do that instead of getting on here and bashing the coaches and administration for the way things are going. or better yet....come on down from the stands and show your great skills in the coaching department. and to steal lionmans line....Thanks for your outside opinion, but without saying any more, let's just leave it at that. we are all outsiders so we should step back and stop running our mouths....
  11. Got a chance to see both teams play this year, going to go with Liberty here. They have so much talent and are also Williams is doing a great job coaching them. If Lexington plays them within 15 Ill be surprised.
  12. Coming into this game everyone in the state knew who the better PG would be. Willie is the best point guard the state has seen awhile. That is not taking anything away from Gardner, he just isnt on Kemps level. But FEW are. I believe both will be successful on the next level. Kemp probably right away and Mack possibly in a couple of years. I was really hoping to see Mack at Union where he has a better chance to contribute on a good team right away.
  13. Ok look its like this.....Lexington has always had a very good team. Yes they will get there 20 wins or whatever. But history never lies, Gardner CANNOT win the big games. How many state tournys has this legend been too, what about substate. See the truth is they will all season long then come tourny they fold. Lets see Humbolt took them down last season on their home floor if im not mistaken. Gardner is a great coach, not sayin that, just when it matters he still hasnt proven himself. If they are ever do it, this better be the year. Im thinking he is probably out after Mack leaves. Which is another thing, he is a very good point guard. One of the best, but UTM? Im not seeing that, maybe that kind of recruiting is why Campbell is always looking from the bottom of the OVC!
  14. Well glad to hear Camden held their own. The cougars are always a tuff team and it shows a lot about the Lions to not give in. I am dissappointed to hear about fans leaving early. Heard it was the same in the Lewis County game. The ones who stayed true...hats off to them. To all the players....the sun will rise tomorr. keep you heads up.
  15. Just curious on everyones opinion concerning this huge quarterfinal matchup in Camden. Camden has seemed to fly under the radar all season after losing two early. From what I have heard, they have been constantly improving week to week. Goodpasture is traditionally strong and seem to always be around come middle of November. What are the things each team must do to pull this out?
  16. might be a stpid question but i cant seem to find where the finalist are listed. can someone help me out here......
  17. the ole warrior has been layin low for awhile. im thinkin he wont have much to say anyways this year with Bolivar and Liberty. One good thing though, at least with that super weak region they can advance into the second round. But again the same story will just repeat....coach gardner cant win the games that matter. Sure yall can win 23-26 every year but until he finally uses all that talent they have there and move into the substate or state.. its just another what could have been year. But hey maybe this year is the one...if not he might as well step out after mack and the bunch leave.
  18. Man can that district get any stronger. Now with 4 D 1 signees it is going to be a blast watching the district tourny when all are in one place. I know the top 3 are big time, but the Gardner decision kind of suprised me. I was thinking he would be a Union-Freed type player. But best of luck to him at UTM, hope all works out well
  19. this district is very good this year. with 6-7 D 1 players its loaded with talent. 1) Bolivar- enough said....... 2) Liberty- great young coach, loads of talent 3) Lexington- this group have been starting together for about 3 years, still cant win the big games though 4) SouthSide- had somwhat down year last season, expect something good here 5) McNairy- one very talented player should be enough to stay off bottom 6) Chester Co- dont know much but had a down year last should be on the way up 7) Camden- probably starting 4 kids not even 16 yet...and very undersized
  20. Kyle can still be found on the intramural fields of MTSU. He is known as a legend on the frat level. I think he has been playing for the last 7-8 years.
  21. well sometime a run is just needed gcounty5...i mean when that huddle comes crushin in gotta run....
  22. just curious if anyone knows which button to push to get the qb to pull the ball down and run while in the pocket for XBOX
  23. not sure if anyine got hurt....but boyd scored 3 times in the first half, and then 1 or 2 more times in the second half. another huge night for Mr Boyd!! believe i saw your brother catch a two pt conversion also
  24. not sure if what i just saw on channel 7 was tru or not but it said GC 34-Westview 31....is this true....
