  1. Gallatin won't even sniff the redone. BHS will score as many as they feel necessary.
  2. No, they didn't hold them to 27, they held them to 20. This year's MJ team is one of the more overrated they've had in a while. Terrible decision making by Perry on the onside kick and the fourth down attempt, although it was successful. You've got to have a little more faith in your defense. Beech now runs the table for a district title.
  3. Nice game owls. You did the one thing I said you wouldn't do-stop the run. SC will be a tough out for anyone in the playoffs. I don't see how YAI beat SC. There were big plays that went both ways, and big turnovers that went both ways. The Eagles didn't seem to show up in the 4th quarter and the Owls capitalized. I wouldn't mind seeing these two teams play again, it was one of the best match-ups of two HS teams I have seen in a long time.
  4. "near that" "would say" "about 400...maybe" And you say you try to post facts? And you say I'm the one who "don't seem to know much?" Getting material from Carthage is about as easy as getting material from Democrats. Ohh shoooot. If it weren't for Obama, the most famous democrat would still be known as a Carthage...r? Carthag...ian? Maybe I should consult Coacht's version of Larry King to get my facts straight.
  5. It is humorous to read Antwan's posts and laugh because elderly people think they know everything based on the simple fact that they are elderly. Did someone put some spice in your Geritol?
  6. Are you joking? In 2006, SC didn't even fill what you call our "pitiful" bleachers. Last year, our visiting crowd was just as big as your home crowd. You guys are just used to those concrete lawn chairs at the pit. Once you upgrade to actual bleachers, you may understand what the rest of the state does.
  7. Wow, this thread should have probably never been started. I can't imagine what Coach Kelley would say if one of the players asked him this question. Especially with SC on the docket for Friday night.
  8. Twan, we have a mule, you have Al Gore. Can you point out any fundamental differences? Neither can I. I never called myself an intellectual, so if that is your perception, thank you. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  9. Shows up? Says the guy with 40 posts? Condescending, yes I am. It is too easy when I talk to people like this. There is no other way to be. This game is too far away to be talking about it yet. I would rather stir up a little animosity in the village of idiots. I see myself as the tornado, and guess who the trailer park is? Fitting, right? Man, I hope that last quip wasn't too deep for its intended audience. Boobi, if you ever heard Coach Harris telling the linebackers to play like a certain guy off of the 95 team, or Coach Duffer telling the guards to play like a guy off of the 95 team, they were talking about Postman.
  10. Part one - Nice use of the comma, it really separates your ONE thought and replaces all of the needed connectors in your sentence. Blow? Do you mean cocaine? Was there cocaine in my post? Part two - I don't remember seeing Postman say you guys didn't have a chance. As a matter of fact, he told me himself that he thinks it will be a good game. Also, where in my post did I say that the Owls didn't "stand a chance" at beating Westmoreland? I quoted your post word for word and I don't see it. Maybe I need to borrow a pair of your rose-colored glasses. I just said the Owls can't stop the Eagles running game. That doesn't mean you don't have a shot. If anyone is saying Smith County is already beat, it is "I Love HS Football." Does it count as bulletin board material if your own "fans" say you don't stand a chance? Does that really make you a fan? You know, if I were going to get on here and say Westmoreland didn't have a chance, well, I don't even think I would get on here. Also, Postman, you have roadies? That is cool. I didn't know you were in a band.
  11. Termite, there are two times that I get on here. 1. When I think Westmoreland has a chance to lose. 2. (The other time) When I know I will find some laughs inspired by the Smith County faithful. I wouldn't guess the "normal" person has time to get on here, or stay on here, as you seem to do. Then again, you are apparently from Carthage, origins of the abnormality. Therefore, I wasn't on here last week due to several reasons which include me having a life, but ultimately because I knew York had no answer for Westmoreland's ground game. (Neither does Smith County) I heard that, excluding their first possession of the game, YAI spent the remainder of the contest on their side of the fifty. Hilarious. And these guys were favorites to win the region? By the way, I thoroughly anticipate more of the Carthage die-hards' variations on the word "Westmoreland." Let me tell you, they are creative, hilarious, inspirational, and downright expected given that Smith County Board of Education lists the mean ACT score of a Carthage graduate as 16. (That is a fact) Volunteer State Community College recommends a score of 18 before beginning classes. Oh well, I guess you guys can always lean on Hartsville Tech. Mean equals average...I forgot who I am directing this post to.
  12. Just a quick question... If those guys for York wouldn't have been injured, and Your "top 5" players would have all played, and The crow wouldn't have landed on his left foot first on a Tuesday, and Westmoreland still dominated every facet of the game, What would the excuse have been then?
  13. I assure you, if Westmoreland were sub .500 and Smith County were undefeated, Twan would be making a post an hour on this thread. I have learned to expect typical things from typical people.
  14. Hey Postman, how long does your boy have left in PeeWee? Me and my buddy want to take over one of the teams and I didn't know if you would be giving it up anytime soon.
  15. fredsamuel, did you play at Westmoreland?
  16. What happened to all of the Smith County fans that are respectable? And by "all of the Smith County fans that are respectable" I mean Queenie. Where is that genius who brought out the toothbrush/teethbrush quip last season? I miss his sincerity, hard-work, and (laughable) wit. I need to look up the definition of sarcasm.
  17. Almost 5 years removed from High School, it seems like only Westmoreland vs. Macon County can bring me back to the message boards. Or when I know I can find Twan chirping prior to the SC vs. Westmoreland game. Where did all the Maconites go? They used to be a dime a dozen on the message boards. Now they are just a dime a dozen on the street cor... Nevermind, that would have been crude.
  18. Surely not... I did see ONE guy standing at the back of the walkway wearing a "Smith County" printed pullover, the kind with no hood, and a SC hat. But surely that was not Antwan. I actually considered it, but this man had to be pushing 75. Dark complexion? Possibly glasses? Can't be, this guy was around before the keyboard was invented. This was the sort of guy who doesn't go to football games, but instead gets up at 4 A.M. on Saturday morning to go discuss the game at Hardees. He complains that the young whipper-snappers are too sissy and should go back to a time when facemasks were not necessary.
  19. Smith Count made the big plays tonight, Westmoreland did not. That was the difference in the game. I think the score was about right. Everytime these two teams play, it should be a one score margin. The Owls make up for talent with aggressiveness. Tonight, Westmoreland made up for talent by jumping offsides and handing the ball to an Owl. Actually, Antwan, Postman and I stood at your concession stand for at least 15 minutes. (I wanted to shake the hand of the great Twan himself) He had on his trusty Jets hat, and we waited patiently. No Twan to be seen. Postman's son was even calling out for you..."Antwerp, oh Antwerp, where are you?" Nothing. Oh well, maybe next time.
  20. Kowalski? Mismatch? He can't even beat me on NCAA if he has Oregon and I have Vandy. Who wins the battle at the toilet bowl tonight? With no rain, I am going to go with whoever has the ball last.
  21. Westmoreland is going to need a truckload full of breaks to win this game. However, Smith County seems to be the team that gives Westmoreland the most breaks from year to year. I would say wet conditions favors the Owls, and it looks like rain. I am driving all the way to the center of the earth to watch this game, so it better be a good one. I never hate myself more than when I drive to the dump in Smtih County and don't see a good game.
  22. Coach Dyer was one of the nicest guys I have met. I was shocked when they fired him. That decision caused a lot of people to lose respect for the system at Macon County.
