Is that why the 3 sets of portable bleachers sat empty expect for the guys from Westmoreland who tailgated on that side? Don't worry about the stands, there will be plenty of seats for you guys to be sitting on. Don't plan on standing very much during the game. I would sure like for Smith County to unveil this "TEZMANIA..CATCH IT!!" style of play. The teamball you guys played last time wasn't very exciting. I want to see a one man show. Maybe it was because you guys showed a little too much mercy and held a little too much back previously. (According to QueenBee) If I had to expound on defender's statement, I would say that he made that statement because he, probably like myself, sat there the entire game saying "Surely this isn't the team we are 2 touchdown underdogs to." What are the similarities between a Smith County divorce and a tornado? Someone is going to lose a trailer.

Dbras, you would probably be better off enjoying the TC threads this week. This time next week, TC won't be involved in any topics unless they resemble "Troutdale County, building for next year."

Most people are playing better at the end of the season than they were in the middle. But, congratulations on the fact that you guys are normal.

Congrats York on the big win over Tyner. I was looking forward to Tyner having to make the trek to Westmoreland. Oh well, York will do instead.

There is probably not much use starting a thread about this game. I just hope that no starters get injured.

If there were 1,000 people at that game last night, 200 of them were in the bathroom. I would say about 750-1000(tops). Trousdale brought just as many as the home crowd. That was an excellent high school game. I was a little suprised with the monotonous play calling by Hartsville. The midline option was called on probably 80% of the plays. FCS is going to have to improve a lot to hang on to that #1 ranking. If both teams would have scored when they SHOULD have scored, it would have went into overtime tied at 28-28.

Let me get this straight. Tez is #25? I thought he was #5. What is #5's name? He is the one that killed us last year at SC, he was the one I was worried about beating us again this year. And he almost did. We had several players who came out of nowhere to help us win this game. #64 came up with two big knockdowns on defense, although one was caught and actually carried for a game. #85 made an unbelievable play on a ball to bring us out of a third and long. #66 had a huge sack on the final drive to, in my opinion, end the game. And the defensive line played as solid as any line we have had since the great d-line in 2000. Yea, the usuals produced in this game but I think it were the guys who stepped up big from the other positions to take the Region Championship.

This just in, Westmoreland wins 4-2A. What is this other discussion about?...Westmoreland talking too much, Smith County making excuses, game given away, penalties, dropped passes, no heart, didn't want it...oh but wait, what is that?...Oh yea. Westmoreland wins 4-2A.

Let me get this straight. If I get on here and talk like an idiot about how Westmoreland will beat Smith County by at least 2 or 3 touchdowns, then I can run my mouth when it is over. But if I don't get on here until Wednesday, and do not make any outrageous predictions, then I need to keep my mouth shut no matter the outcome. That is bright. But what can I expect, I forgot who I am dealing with. Festus and the boys make the rules on here, I reckon. Last time I checked, this is Coacht.com, not AntwanT.com. Therefore, unless the "Coach" requires me to make a certain number of posts pre-game in order to respond post-game, I will talk all I want. Good luck in round one, and the "on the road again" in round 2.

Antwan, not everyone has time to be on here trash talking constantly. Also, not everyone wants to try to talk their team to a win. I prefer to let the team play the game themselves, then talk after it is finished. Why is it that Smith County couldn't have just lost the game? Of course, it wasn't because Westmoreland is the better team, it is because Smith County lost the games for themselves. How many turnovers did Smith County have? None. That doesn't exactly describe "giving" the game away to me. Face it Smith County, Westmoreland improved from last year, Smith County did anything but.

Smith County by 3 touchdowns? Tez runs all over the Eagles? No chance for the home team? What were you guys thinking? If it weren't for the flipup to open the game with the returned onside kick, this game may have never been in question. The Owls were bigger, faster, and stronger. But Westmoreland has better football players. I seen a lack of desire by the visiting team. And what happened to filling up the visitors side and the home side? We thought ya'll were bringing more than that, that is why we added bleachers. Oh well, good luck in the playoffs. By the way, Westmoreland is pretty tough at home.

If the Westmoreland squad has an advantage, it is that they perform as a team. You will find no "TEZMANIA...CATCH IT!!!" signs in Westmoreland. Every win is an 11-person victory and "ME" does not have part in the Eagle program. Good luck to both teams, but mainly Westmoreland.

Westmoreland must be some serious master of illusions. They are not THAT fast. On the other hand, they are extremely sound technique wise and extremely focused. Smith County also seems to come up short in big games. (I.E. Trousdale 28-13 in '02 and Macon 10-9 in '03. Not to mention the last time Westmoreland played Carthage we handled the Owls fairly easily.) With that said, as long as their are no significant injuries, and the lights stay on ???....Westmoreland should take home their first Region 'ship since 1995.

Another dissapointment unless the Tigers made Westmoreland forget about All-County and who is better.

The best kicker in the region won't miss any easy field goals...much less extra points.

Eagles on the helmet, points...it's easy to talk about all that...but you have only played one game. There are about 200 teams in Tennesse that are 1-0 like you guys are right now. Slow down the smack talking and save it for after you beat Macon County. Fans should be on here talking crap, players save that for the field.

Maybe Macon County should continue "looking over" teams like Trousdale County and Westmoreland and begin "looking forward" to games like Dekalb County.

Ok, make up your mind...what is the real reason Westmoreland will struggle this year? Depth, schedule, bad chili on the hot dogs, what is it?? Westmoreland will have no trouble finishing second, and have a legitimate shot at first. Depth is definitely NOT the problem. They have at least one good backup at every position except a few spots on the line.

Choose not to remember Clint Brown? Anyone who can spell Mr. Football remembers him. I think his best run ever came against Carthage. He tip-toed to the 3-yard line and jumped off one foot to the pylon. I'm pretty sure the ref called him out of bounds but it was a sweet run nevertheless.

Westmoreland has never been the topic of a thread that was 5 pages long...until the Coacht.com community of Carthage moved to our region. It's like you people hold weekly Coacht-posting fellowhsips or something. Man, I thought Antwan was the only one who lives to hear that Carthage is the last place favorite but now Sleep is doing the same thing. Is this sad to anyone else? You guys have GOT to be Titan fans.

No I didn't say we pounded ya'll every year...I said we pounded ya'll the last time we played. That was in 2000...I was a freshman and I was on the field for the 4th quarter, so yea we did spot you a few points by playing the scraps...guys like me.

Antwan stop being stupid. No one ever said Smith Co. would finish fourth in a single A region and limp into the playoffs. No one said you are small, slow, rednecks (Although one out of three isn't bad). Just because everyone doesn't pick Smith Co. to go undefeated and win the state by 35 points you turn it around and make it sound like everyone thinks you are the underdogs. You are not. In 4-2A, you are the favorites. Get over it...you are not going to suprise anyone IF you win the region. Yes there are other good teams in the region and yes Westmoreland WILL beat you if Smith doesn't bring their A game. They may beat them anyway. But a year in year out first or second place 3A team will of course be the favorites after moving down. Good luck to the Owls.
