i believe that the best player in the region could be tyler skidmore. hit is a great hitter and a good pitcher. i would rather have him over pryor or daughtery. not taking anything away from them. rockwood is down this year, but they have a new firey coach which has already instilled great discipline in them. is daughtery, pryor, skidmore getting any looks from colleges?

is he wanting to play baseball or football in college? or does he want to play at all also casteel is by far the best player i have seen play at the high school level. grant it i dont see a lot of it. but i saw him at a showcase at lee a year ago and the kid has got a hose and can rake.

Anyone know anything about this school? How are they? What do they do?

Rockwood will be alright. Yes, they lost Breazeale and Moriarty, but they still have a group of talent this year. Raby is a great ball handler. along with gunter, roberts, parsons, and maybe the new harriman transfer (not sure if plays), rockwood should do just fine this year. one thing we do know is that they will be prepared and disciplined. Coach k and Coach b will always have their teams ready to play. what a game k coached when rockwood upset top ranked, undefeated grace at home. without the great coaching of k, that wouldnt have happened. the MAIN thing i am concerned about is who will replace CLEM, TINKER, and WAMPLER as the leaders of the Green Nation? who will paint up and distributed newspaper for the games? who is going to heckled any ref that makes a bad call and get into players head? i dont know if ive ever seen moral support like i saw from clem and tinker. so who will replace them . . . . the world may never know

i think a loss would be good for the chargers. it might bring them back down to earth a little bit.

have the central chargers been working on their "jump on it" dance this week in practice? it looked very impressive on the sidelines last week. not to mention rediculus. way to support your players that never get to play, but have to sit on the sidelines and watch the starters. then they get in and the starters decide to "jump on it." anyways what is ryans qualls status for this game. will he be playing QB or WR? rumor has it he is going to throw it to himself.

i will be glad to get five six bucks worth going to this game. up until this point central has played a bunch on schmuck teams and i have felt cheated lol. im ready to see what they are made of. im pretty sure they MIGHT be a legit team. but after watching them dance on the sidelines half the fourth quarter and what looked like almost a scuffle at halftime going into the lockerroom(not sure what happened so thats as far as i will go with that.if anyone knows more please do inform) i kind of get the feeling they have the big head. im just ready to see a good football game and i believe you will get one friday night. the match-up between starr and qualls should be the highlight of this game.

anybody can put up good numbers against the schmuck teams that Mcminn Central play. grant it they are a talented team, but lets see how they do when they face a real team.

Loudon is very weak

No doubt "Central" IMO Mcminn Central is a good team. but your kidding yourself if you think they have played a lick of competition the past two weeks. Loudon is OK a best. OS looked like ned and the 3rd reader out there. im ready to see the chargers play some teams of equal talent or better. they have a very good team, but im ready to see how they play under a little bit of pressure. also i thought it was very unsportsmanlike when the chargers were up thirty five or so when a player scored and dunked the ball over the goal post. a player needs to conduct himself better than that when he scores. esp being up by so much on a team of way lesser quality. i lost some respect for the team when i saw that. i hope that matter will be delt with accordingly. good luck rest of season.

OSH state champ reminds me of the French.. "We are going to crush the Americans" ha. looky where they ended up. number 2. this game will be a low scoring affair. i wil say 10-7. not sure who to pick though. will decide by friday.

hey now im right here no need to yell. so when you speak of disipline would you be referring to the fight that the team got into last year against coalfield? just wondering. really yall have guys who show up and work hard every day? you guys lift weights too? no joke? im not the smartest one around here but im pretty sure every other high school football team does that. and if im not mistaken no one had said anything about black people until you got on here and spouted of about it. i said two words on my last post and you get on here and make it look as if i had said something racial. ha. wow. incredible. there are a lot of teams that arent disipline. whether they are black white pink purple. but anyways. i hate to waste more time. harriman has to get back in the weight room and work hard everyday to get ready for sunbright and oakdale.

Rockwood has hired Jake Witter from Appopka High School in Florida. He will inherit a team that lost 13 seniors (8 starters) from last years back to back state tournament team. Rockwood baseball will be back!!!!!!

If you pay money to go to private schools, the public schools should not have to play you to win a state championship---bottom line. Maybe one day the TSSAA will get it right.

Another private state champion. In only a few more hours we will have another private state champion in AA. How about fixing the problem and giving the public schools a chance?

Congratulations to Jackson Christian for winning the 2008 A state championship. This means for the second year in a row that a private school will win both the A and AA state championships!!!!
