Beagleboy, You obviously operate on rumor only and have no desire to see Oak Ridge succeed. You would not praise the boys one second, and then wish upon them the loss of their offensive coordinator, Ron Gray. You would also know that Jim Helton, FORMER A.D. retired a year ago. We are used to it at home too. We have a saying for it... So let them hate, as long as they respect.

Is that really sour grapes. If you are proud of tonight's win, you could be classified as a cheater, just like the refs. There were so many horrible calls, I don't know where to start. So, I won't. But, I will say that D-B should have been called for too many men on the field on nearly every play. 11 Indians and 6 zebras. See you next year at your place where we will once again be outnumbered. Don't worry though, we're used to it. We get the same treatment at our own home.

The officiating was no different than we are used to at D-B.

He punts and plays linebacker on D I think. I believe their season is over, though. I don't think they made the playoffs, but I may be wrong.

What a rivalry this has been over the years. These two teams have repeatedly eliminated each other in the playoffs, on the other's turf, etc. This game will be a big measuring stick for both teams. Each has lost to a team in a lower classification. D-B only beat Campbell Co. 19-0. OR lost to Ootlewah 14-9, who was beaten by McMinn Co. 10-0. Oak Ridge beat McMinn 44-3. Go Figure! Any given Friday??? I am cheering for the Wildcats, but don't know what's gonna happen. Good Luck Dobbyns-Bennett!

I'll tell you what happened. We coached our way right out of the game and the region title. We will still make the playoffs, but may lose again Friday costing us any home games in the playoffs. If it's third down you need first down yardage. On almost every third down, we threw the ball 2-4 yards less than we needed for the first down. If your pass protection stinks, try some of your other 20 linemen and see if they want to block, so we can pass the ball downfield. On 4th and goal at the 26, we threw the ball to the 15? If we just wanted to hem them up, why didn't we try the field goal? I realize that we have only made 2 field goals in the last two years, but if field position was our game, why didn't we throw it to the five and hem them up deep? Oak Ridge will not make it far into the playoffs with the continued play-calling and lack of substitutions. Oak Ridge has been capable of dominating for years by wearing out 40 player teams with 80-100 players. Anything that seems to make sense eludes our coaching staff. I use the term "coaching staff" loosely, because that does not appear to be an apt description of what we currently have leading our team. Good Luck Wildcats. If the fans are lucky, you are talented enough to win despite the poor coaching and horrible play-calling. P.S. Maybe some of the players that excell on Monday nights for the JV squad could play as well on Friday nights. I don't think that the competition or the day of the week has anything to do with thier success.

ohreally, I am not trying to stir anything up. I was only making the observation that if the detractors were only doing what they have done "for the kids", why aren't they here now rejoicing in the kid's victory?

Oak Ridge's FANS are no where to be found now. If Oak Ridge loses, the detractors are quick to get on here and bash the coaches. Since they won the threads are not even popular. Perhaps the detractors were not real fans anyway. Thanks Willie for posting something positive about Oak Ridge, even if everyone won't read it, let alone post on the subject. GO WILDCATS!
