For next year.....

You have more contacts up there than I do. I can get in touch with Phil Jackson, I mean, Jim Brown. We are going to look at doing it the weekend after State football championship or mid November opposite Thanksgiving. Lots of details to work out with the behind the scenes issues. I want to do 4 games on Friday possibly and definately 8-9 games on Saturday. I would love to have 4-5 of those games being uppercumberland vs west TN. Would also love to have 2 top 25 USA teams compete against each other also. Blackman might be one of those NEXT year. Would also like to get some good teams with top players like Creekwood with the Bell girl, Dickson Co has a STUD freshman, and so forth.

In the works....Bethel University in McKenzie or Henry Co HS as a possible host spot. My buddy who puts on the Mid America Football Classic in Henry Co is working on it. QBCLUB PREZ is wanting to do a Border Wars deal with some KY schools. I am wanting to get 4-5 upper cumberland teams to play 4-5 West TN teams. ???? for the group, who will be the top 4-5 teams next year in each area? I think: and would want to invite... Jackson Co vs Union City A favorites Clarkrange vs Gibson Co A favorites Dyersburg vs Livingston Acad AA Upperman vs Westview AA Cannon Co vs Obion Co AA Blackman vs some powerhouse McKenzie vs Henry Co to get the home folks to support the event... Easy now....historically 7-8AA, whatever they change to, has been better than 13AA. I would have taken Gibson Co with Russell or Wizard in those 2 years against Jackson Co. Coach Brown shoulda went to the Lakers while he had the chance! Sing to the Oak Ridge Boys song: All the Gold In Jackson Co Is in a bank in the middle of Gainsboro in Buddy Browns name So if your dreamin about gold balls it dont matter at all what ya think is true Jackson co is a whole new game! By the way: how about a 13aa/7aa challenge in good ole Paris TN on November 16, 2013. I can set that up! We will even feed ya some fish! Will even schedule Jackson Co vs Gibson Co and Clarkrange vs Union City

KARMA, in my opinion, they got exactly what they deserved. I beleive this because, especially after the game, not shaking hands, a few Gatorade bottles being thrown into the Westview celebration, which Westview had a right to do. Westview did not deserve to have to face the best team in the district after finishing as runnerup. Coaches should look into changing that rule where the 1 seed plays the lowest seed team, but when things like this happen, someone gets the shaft....the good news is Covington got the shaft. 3 possibilitiies: IF they were cheating and knew it then they got what they deserved. IF they were cheating and did not know about it, then they should be fired for being stupid, 4 kids "move" to town for their senior year? A good AD would have definately had all those ducks in a row. IF they are innocent and unfairly found guilty, the TSSAA didn't think so. In any of the 3 possibilities, there is one thing for certain...it is baseball time in Covington!

Hamilton will beat Melrose and finish 2nd in that region with a 7-3 record, unless East upsets Da Haven, which I don't see happen. Go Clarksville NW, Henry Co is 2nd if they somehow upset Clarksville NE, but I don't see that happening either. Sad that HC is virtually a tri champion and a 6 seed, but that is how it is..

FACT: HC would be highly favored in any game that they play against Humtingdon or South Gibson...in any year, and in a year when HC is down (this year, in my opinion) and Huntingdon/South Gibson is great! Could one of them win, well of course, but it would be a huge upset if it occurred. What if he made the previous statement? I think this is more what he probably meant as anything can happen with 14-17 year old kids on any given night...
